The sky was changing from a soft blue to pale pinks and oranges. Sunsets were Takara's favorite thing to watch, but at the same time they were the part of the day that she dreaded most. She had to return home before the sky went dark, the babysitter called this her curfew. She loathed it.
Takara had made a habit of sitting in the middle of the park to watch the sky change and sun sink below the horizon, and today was no different. She lay in the lush grass with her shoes off and wild violet hair hanging loose. A bouquet of wild flowers sat upon her lap, tied in a bundle with a white ribbon.
The cool breeze blew through the trees and grass, tickling her toes as it passed by. Birds were singing their final song and the crickets were just beginning theirs. Takara smiled to herself and closed her eyes to listen to the sounds around her. Everything was so peaceful at this time of day, nothing could ruin it. Nothing.

Zero was walking along downtown right now. It was sunset now and soon he'd meet up with Daitaro and they'd leave the village. He had told him he'd meet him outside his house soon before they left. He figured a little stroll around the park here might be nice and refreshing. He expected it to be empty right about now. That was not the case as he entered the park and spotted a head of purple hair sitting on a bench. He should avoid anyone around in case he might be found out but it just seemed to be some low villager woman. He then started walking over and stopped beside the bench Takara sat on taking in a deep breath now as he closed his eyes before speaking.
"Nice sunset eh lady," Zero asked now smirking. He then glanced at her and his eyes went wide. No it couldn't be her her had killed her hadn't he or at least left her to die. "It's you Ki...I mean erm what's your name?" He sighed inwardly that had been too close. If he had revealed he knew her name then she'd become suspicious. He prayed she had amnesia and didn't remember him it'd make things less awkward for him. If she remembered him then he'd have to take care of her before leaving to meet Daitaro. He couldn't risk getting his cover blown now. He remained standing now as he lit up one of his smokes. It was a recent bad habit he had picked up but it seemed to help kill his nerves some so he was less prone to violent outbreaks when he got mad.

A unpleasant cold shiver crept up Takara's spine, which was strange since the air was still warm and there had been no breeze. She shrugged her shoulders, shaking the feeling away, and continued to watch the sun sink lower in the sky. However, she couldn't help but feel that she wasn't alone.
Takara looked over her shoulder, a bit startled to see a man suddenly appear behind her. "Oh wow. You scared me," she said to him with a hand over her heart. "Yeah, this is my favorite..." She stopped her sentence short when the man's demeanor changed. He looked scared, like he had just seen a ghost.
Something was out of place. He had kindly asked her about sunset just a moment ago, and now he was... Well, Takara didn't know what he was, but she could tell that something was most definitely wrong. "I'm sorry, I don't believe we have ever met. My name is Takara, you must have mistaken me for somebody else. Who are you?"

"I'm sorry about that Takara was it," Zero replied now. His expression was blank he pondered over that. That meant she did have amnesia after all. Not shred of her original personality seemed to remain. That was understandable and gave him a sense of relief. He wouldn't have to kill her yet it seemed. He then rubbed his right wrist a few times before looking at her again. "We sorta met once before. Your name was Kiki then Takara-san. We were partners once on a mission. I never saw you again after that!" The last part had been a lie.
He had known she was gonna betray him for her boss so he had nearly killed her before she could do the same to him. She had called him a devil because of his curse mark level two form as she lay battered and bleeding from his assault on her. He had simply been expressionless his red eye glowing in the night as he looked on down at her. He should've killed her then but he had hesitated because of his weakness for sparing women and children. He had simply left her ignoring her pleading praying she died on her own and didn't come after him again. "My name is Zypher pleased to meet you!" If one had keen hearing they could hear the slight disdain in his voice now.

Takara was in shock. She didn't know whether or not to believe this strange man or not. Did he really know her from before? How did she know that he was telling the truth. Hell, how did she know she could even trust this man? But, if he was telling the truth, he could help her recover her memories. She might never get a chance like this again.
"H-how do I know that you're telling me the truth?" Takara asked the man, Zypher, with a shaky voice. She involuntarily scooted her body away from him, causing her flowers to tumble off of her legs and onto the ground. She didn't know why, but she actually felt afraid of this man. "Prove it to me."

"I never lie Takara-san I'm always truthful," zero replied with a smile. It was a fake smile since he knew he was lieing. He didn't mind lieing to her it'd be fun screwing around with her for a bit since she was alone. She had amnesia so what could she do to him. He smirked she was practically powerless so he could do as he saw fit and she couldn't do a thing. He felt like being blunt but where was the fun in that? He smiled a little when she involuntarily scooted away from. He then pulled out a smoke and lit placing a foot on the bench now.
"You have a large scar across your back or front don't you? I gave that scar to you. It was an accident you see. You kinda jumped in the way of me attacking someone else. You were pretty mad about it didn't speak to me for weeks!" He chuckled lightly as it lies to her. Most of it was a lie except for giving her a scar. He would recognize his handiwork. It was a shame she didn't have nightmares about his curse mark level two form. No one ever forgot seeing that he had been called a demon and monster sometimes because of it.

Takara's eyes went wide in shock when he mentioned her scar. She moved her hand to her back, where a long pink blemish stretched from her right shoulder down to her left hip. How could he have known about it? He had to be telling her the truth then. Right?
"So you gave me this?" she questioned, running her fingers up and down the mark. The wound had been healed for quite some time, but it still ached sometimes. "And you knew me before... Before my, uh, accident happened?"

Zero smiled a little watching her move a hand to rub her back now where the scar no doubtly was. He had left that on her in hopes it would've killed her but a last minute hesitation lessened his intent at the last second. Doubt because he had liked her for a brief time until he found out she was planning to kill him for her boss. He had never been so enraged as when they had fought. "Yeah I gave you that Takara-san. I'm sorry whatever happened to you. It's a shame you were a really great ninja once!" Now she was just pathetic he thought smiling a bit more now as he looked away taking a puff of his smoke again. He looked back when asked if he had known here before her accident.
"Like I said we were partners briefly. We did a lot of odd jobs like collecting money from people. Then one day you left. I was told you were dead so I moved on to other things!" Most of that was a lie but the beginning of it was true. Kiki had been the best at what she did for her boss. Now she was just an empty shell and lived a sad existance. He was almost tempted to put her out of her misery but he wanted to drag this out a little bit longer. This was just too rich and good to end now. He would treasure her expression when she was told he had tried to kill her then.

Takara stared into the Zypher's face, pleading with her mind to, just once, remember something. Anything. Average height, dark hair and eyes... Nothing. She still couldn't place him. His face did nothing to jar her memories.
Her face brightened when he mentioned that she was a great ninja. She had hoped as much because she admired he ninjas of Konoha's strength and courage. "Thanks for telling me that. It's nice to know a little something from my former life. Can you tell me anything else? Like where I was from or who my family was? Who did I work for? Was I a--"
Takara cut herself off before finishing her last question. Was I a good person? She was afraid of the answer. What if she wasn't good? What if she was a terrible person? She had just started a new life here, and she didn't want to ruin it. What would people think of her if she was bad?

Zero looked away when Takara stared at him. It was unnerving and irked him to no end. The same face she had displayed when she pleaded to spare her taking advantage of his nature. She had then tried to stab him in the back and had almost succeeded had he not activated his lightning armor and then hit her with his black lightning jutsu. It should have killed her but she was stronger than he had given her credit for. It had irked him how she tried to understand him and get closer to him. No one could understand his insanity and no one ever would. He was an avenger and power was what he sought. Nothing mattered more than that. He wanted a girl who understood that and accepted him as for who he was now. Amy his former teammate had claimed she did and had desperately tried to bring him back promising him what he wanted. He saw through her lies easy enough.
"I don't recall you ever mentioning that to me. You were a Nukenin that much was certain. You worked for a guy who called himself the Don. He swindled money out of people only to turn around and give them protection demanding even more money. You were a real bitch sometimes at least towards me you were!" He chuckled lightly closing his eyes as he took a deep breath. Most of that was true especially the last part. That was what he had liked about her. It was why he had fallen for her only to have it crushed when she tried to kill him. He looked at her narrowing his eyes a little when she asked if she had been a good person. That was a laugh for sure. She was a murderer as much as that guy she had met. He had heard the rumors of one of Orochimaru's toys ending up in Konoha.

Takara scooted even farther away from the man. He didn't seem very friendly anymore, only intimidating and harsh. She didn't want to believe the words coming out of his mouth; what he was saying was just too terrible. Takara, Kiki- whoever she was, couldn't possibly be capable of doing such horrible things. It just couldn't be true.
"I don't believe you," Takara said tentatively, putting even more distance between her and the Zypher. "There is no way I could do the things you say. If you haven't noticed, I'm small and skinny and I'm not strong enough to fight anyone. Every one says I'm just not built to be a ninja. You must have me confused with somebody else."
Takara was adamant about denying this strange man. What did he know about her? He was a bad person, she could see this now, and he was lying to her. With a rush of confidence, Takara suddenly stood up, picking her flowers up off of the ground. Pointing the foliage at Zypher, she declared, "I don't want to talk to you any more. I have to go home now, and I won't ever believe a word you told me."

"You look surprised in disbelief really!" He smirked a little bit now watching her expressions after she scooted away further from him. He then sat down wrapping his arms around her shoulders now as she spoke up saying she didn't believe him. "What's not to believe. It's the truth whether you choose to accept it or not!" He then smirked thumping the back of her head now. It seemed she didn't trust him anymore and was afraid of him now. He smiled patting her head before removing his arm to stand up now. He simply nodded after she said what she looked like now and what she was like now.
"Yeah you are kinda sad and pathetic. Kinda like a crab whose lost it's shell. You were a killer once plain and simple and your biggest mistake was making an enemy out of me!" He then frowned grabbing her wrist and holding tight as she stood up now trying to leave. "Believe what you want to. You think that scar was an accident. Well it wasn't you know. It was very intentional after all. You should've ended up dead yet hear you are. I suppose I have to give you credit for that. Such a sad pathetic existance you live. Eventually you will become yourself again. Then what happens to that boyfriend of yours? That sad pathetic little experiment of Orochimaru's!" He smirked releasing her wrist with a shove now. He then smirked looking to the sky now. How would she react to that he wondered.

Takara cringed away from Zypher's touch, feeling dirty and violated just from his proximity. She tried to get out from under his arm, but his grip was strong and she couldn't budge. The thump to the back of her head wasn't painful, but she still couldn't move to push Zypher away. Each millisecond that passed by with this man just made Takara grow angrier and angrier. She did not have a quick temper, but this guy clearly knew how to push her buttons.
The petite girl was about to walk away from the situation when Zypher rudely grabbed her wrist. Takara squirmed and pushed with all of her might, but he was too strong for her and his grip just continued to grow stronger. This sent her over the edge.
When Zypher finally released his hold, Takara hurled the flowers she had at his face as hard as she could. "That just proves how much of a dirty liar you are! You constantly contradict yourself, and you prove that your words are meaningless," she shouted at him angrily. Her hands were balled into tiny fists and her face was growing warm with bitterness. "You- you think you're so high and mighty because you supposedly gave me this injury. Well guess what?! You failed! You weren't able to kill me, so that proves how much stronger I am than you! You're nothing more than the dirt under my feet!"

"Aw don't you love me anymore? I thought what we had was special!" He chuckled lightly as he watched her squirm in his grasp. She seem disgusted and appaled by him now that she knew the truth. He smirked his right eye flashing in the moonlight giving off a menacing red glow now. He smirked after releasing her having her hurl her flowers in his face now. Yes she was pissed exactly the response he wanted. He wasn't worried she stood no chance against him now. He laughed wiping his face off a little bit now. He then frowned when she called him a dirty liar. He then flashed forward grabbing her by the throat this time but not enough to choke but also not enough for her to escape it.
"Who are you to call me a liar? Your the one without your damn memory so what do you know? You know nothing anymore. I don't contradict myself Takara. I was messing around with you on purpose. It was always so fun messing with you because you were a complete bitch. It was always about you and what you wanted!" He then released her before smacking her lightly across the face with a smirk. He then turned his back to her and started to walk away only to stop when Takara spoke again. He then sneered turning around to face her now pointing to his curse mark. "That mark proves how much stronger I am then you can ever hope to be. That scar proves how weak and pathetic you'll always be clinging to others you don't really care about!" He was of course referring to Vayne again.
He sneered further at the mention of him being dirt. His curse mark then began to glow as the markings consumed his body and his skin turned black as did the white of his eyes. Then from his back two black wings similar to angel wings sprouted. He then smirked devilishly shooting forward to grab her by the throat squeezing hard enough to choke her a little now. "It is you who is dirt beneath my feet Takara. I could kill you right now and no one would miss you at all cept maybe that piece of trash. Remember this form and let it be a nightmare to you once more. When I tried to kill you this was the last thing you saw as you screamed in terror!" His wings then began to shrink as his skin returned to normal now. He then released giving her a light shove now. "I'm really glad we had this talk Takara. It was quite amusing nonetheless. Perhaps next time I'll pay your friend Vayne a visit. Wonder how you'd react if I killed him in front of you!"

Takara was about to turn her back to Zypher and walk away, but he surprised her by grabbing her by her throat. Her eyes went wide in shock, scared that he would try to squeeze the life out of her; she would be powerless to stop him. The sun had already sunk below the horizon and the sky had grown dark. Nobody would be in the park this late at night, so she was all alone with this cold hearted man.
When he finally released her, she thought about holding her tongue, but she was too angry to control herself. The mark on Zypher's neck meant nothing to her, so she probably would have held her tongue had she known what it meant, but she would soon find out. The dark blemish on his skin began to glow, spreading out across his skin and engulfing every inch. His appearance was frightening, and scared Takara to her core.
She turned to run away, but stumbled as Zypher grabbed her by her throat, harder than the first time. She could barely breathe, and no amount of flailing and kicking and scratching loosened his grip. Tears began to form in her eyes, but she shut them tight, refusing to let any fall; she would not give him that kind of satisfaction.
When Zypher finally released her, Takara didn't have the strength to stay on her feet. She fell to her knees with her violet hair was wild and blowing in the breeze. She glared up at the tall man, furious with each word that came out of his mouth. "You don't know me, no matter what you think!" she shouted, voice hoarse with emotion. "You're the one who has to live a worthless life full of hatred, and you have to live with the regret of falling for me in my old life. And then you couldn't even get rid of me! Thanks to you, I have an amazing life now. I'm not this Kiki girl you keep talking about. I'm Takara, and I you can't change that. There are people here that I love, and you won't lay a finger on them! Don't you dare try to ruin my life out of spite. I'll kill you myself if you even think about it!"
