Agroindustry will be discussed below with the aim of demonstrating the factors that interfere in the production of this activity, such as: the age of the entrepreneur and his participation in a class entity, since entities are important providers of information.
A comparison will be presented with other sources of income on the property, aiming to reinforce the thesis that the transformation of primary production to industrialized products becomes one of the best solutions for family farming in the world today.
The research will also evaluate agroindustry, as a source of economic growth and development of properties in the municipality and the region. This shows that it brings important social functions, such as generating employment and income.
Agroindustry in family farming is widespread in the southern states of Brazil, where there is primary production, where small properties are able to transform food and take it to the consumer market. This activity promotes an organization of production, as explained by Panzutt (2009) who argues that organized production makes marketing easier, freeing the producer from middlemen, who obtain profits from the sweat of family farmers.
The general objective of the work is to show that agroindustry generates an important addition of value to family farming products, increasing property income and enabling producers to access the market in a different and more profitable way.
In order to show the sources of income of this agroindustry, whose production model and family farming, comparative tables will be presented of the activities carried out on the properties, in a way that facilitates the exposure of the theme.
CASE STUDY: THE INFLUENCE OF AGROINDUSTRY ON SMALL RURAL PROPERTY
The present case study evaluated the influence of Agroindustry on the economy of small rural properties, which work under a Family Farming regime with a family made up of four members, who work directly on the farm. The study took place on the farm of Senhor Antônio Pedro Santana. They work there: he, his wife and their two children. In terms of education, the owner has completed primary education. The family lives on the rural property. The farm has 112 hectares, so it is considered small by region standards. It is located in the north of the state of Goiás, in the municipality of Formoso, 6 km from the city.
This research assessed the importance of Agroindustry in increasing the income of this rural company. When carrying out the study, some management factors will be highlighted, such as: net profit, gross profit and production cost. The research therefore aims to define the importance of the industry for generating income on the property, for adding value to the products generated, and thus enabling an increase in earnings, with an increase in the withdrawal of income from the land.
The type of agribusiness studied was a pig slaughterhouse. Through the activity, the family slaughters the animals produced on their own rural establishment. The pigs are purchased freshly weaned, so the breeding and rearing phase takes place on the property, until slaughter.
