She was quite agile and fast as well. Dodging a thunder bird at such close range was no easy feat, but she had pulled it off and released a lightning beast of her own. He stood stock still and made a series of hand signs using his water encampment jutsu a wall of water rose up around him blocking her attack before falling to the ground. He could tell this jutsu still needed work, with a little fine tuning she'd have it down packed. He rose from his crouched position and gave her a rousing hand. "Well done Mae you are quite the Taijutsu specialist." He said letting the blood armor flow from his hands back inot his cuts, which soon coagulated. He walked over to her looking her over seeing what extent of damage she'd taken which was minimal. "So how are you feeling Mae?" He asked sitting down on the hunk of driftwood which had somehow survived their battle, but then again their battle hadn't been high profile or anything like that.

As Mae dodged the bird she realized that was cutting it a bit to close. She looked down making sure that when it did make that little contact she wasn’t hurt that bad. She had a few cuts and probably some bruises from fighting him. When she used her jutsu she watched as he countered with a water attack. She bit her lip watching her beast lightening burst and then vanish. There was a lot of work on that she needed to use and well she was still perfecting it as well. It was time for her body to give up as she felt she couldn’t must longer without the pain intensifying from it all. Kuro spoke to her about being the Taijutsu specialist and she laughed a little. “Not really I tend to spar against someone who uses it. It’s a weak point for me.” She said with a giggle as he made his way over to her. Mae’s legs still felt weak and her shoulder blade and back were thrived the pain as she had landed on it harder than she thought. That was the point where her legs just gave out and she feel to the ground laughing at the whole experience. She decided to lie back letting the pain just take over for a few moments. Her mentor started to ask her how she was feeling and she shook her head. “My body is in so much pain; my legs are weak granted they have been for a bit now and my back and shoulder blade hurts. I am just going to lay here for a moment.” She said as she turned her head to face him. She had to admit this was a tough fight she had been in and she knew if given the chance she would have started all over again. “I didn’t hurt you or anything?” Mae asked curious to make sure he was alright.

Kuro nodded he didn't have that probably since most of his powerful techniques revolved around taijutsu such as hte raiton armor and the moves that go with it. He tried to catch her before she fell, but he was just too slow his reflexes dulled now that adrenaline wasn't coursing through his veins. "I know what you mean my brother in law knows the lotus so whenever he comes to town I usually spar with him just to keep my skills sharp." Kuro scratched his cheek a little embarassed that he had harmed her so badly. "Here let me take care of that." He said making several handsigns and a red aura appeared around his hands. "Roll over and this will take the pain away no doubt about it." He held his hands over her back letting his mystical palm technique do it's work. Truth be told he was pretty sore, but he had a wife to take care of that for him. "So Mae what do you think Mae what have you learned about injuries gained in battle, especially considering neither of us have anything but subdermal injuries."

Mae didn’t mind lying on the ground it hurt less than standing up. She admitted it was at the time probably not the best idea to have kept going on further. Her body screamed at her about the whole process. She laughed a little when he was talking about his brother-in-law coming to town and sparring against him. “That’s always the best part is having someone to keep those skills sharp. I don’t really have anyone to challenge me when I do spar. That and that’s really the first time I have used any of my techniques on anyone.” Mae said with a smile as it was hard for her to actually fight someone with using the techniques. Kuro spoke about healing her and she nodded and rolled over on her stomach. “Awesome I don’t think my body likes me at this point.” She said jokingly. She was glad she only managed to get a cut on him and nothing more because she knew she had to get herself a lot stronger than what she was. He asked her a question about injuries taken in battle. It took her a few minutes to really think of the actual answer. “Well I learned that there is only so long that your body can stand the pain before it gives out. Also learned depending on where the injuries are the greats the patient maybe in some discomfort from it all. Oh and never be stubborn and continue on when you already know you’re defeated.” She said with a laugh. Mae knew that was what she learned from him her fighting skills were good and she needed to learn to give up if her body had taken enough injuries to really make a difference.

Kuro nodded everyone needed a sparring partner his was Maria and on occassion Roronora, but she didn't have one. "Well look no further Mae I will be your sparring partner from here on out." He said with a smile as he healed her back. Once he was done he stood up and stretched feeling a slight twinge in his right arm. That's definitely going to need some work. He thought to himself as he helped Mae to her feet. "You have a keen eye, as Medics we must first understand how the injuries impact the body before we can find out how to resolve them." He looked out at the coast and sighed days like this always made him feel content. An overcast sky and a slight wind in the air made him feel at peace. "There's a storm on the way." He said calmly smelling the scent of rain and feeling the electrcity gather in the sky. "We should be heading back same time tomorrow at the hospital?" He asked.

Mae smiled a little at the feeling of her back not hurting any more it was the pleasant feeling she missed. Her body was healing and she felt so good with him healing her. She smiled a little hearing he would be her sparring partner. It was a good thing she didn’t have to hold back on her ability again Kuro versus Kiki who she had to hold back on her ability and strength. “Awesome that’s exciting to hear!” Mae said with a smile as she stood up stretching a little. She was happy to have him be her sparring partner and the fact he healed her was amazing. When Kuro spoke about her having a keen eye she smiled a little glad to hear her random ability of knowledge was a good thing. “Really? Well then I am glad of course I feel so much better now that you healed me!” She said with a laugh. She smiled a little at him looking out on to the water and seeing the darkening clouds ahead of them. Mae figured there was a storm it was always like that when it was calm on the coast line. “Yeah it will pretty cool storm though.” She said figuring it was going to be something nice to have especially when it came at a perfect moment. She had been feeling down a lot lately but of course being a typical girl she hid it sometimes too well. “Tomorrow at the hospital sounds good! I’ll be on time this time.” She said with a laugh.
((if you want to we can time skip I am cool with that))

Kuro was a grade A medic healing people was his job one of the few things his Kekkei Genkai was good at. He enjoyed his work watching the pain melt from people's faces ashe worked it away, or the grateful smiles he got once he was through. "I'm glad you feel that way. It's always good to have an opponent you can go all out on." Of course she wasn't his, but in time she would become that, under his tutelage he was sure he could shape her into a great ninja. She already possessed the instincts, now to hone her skills to match their sharpness. "It's not a problem at all glad I could help you out." He smiled at her as she commented about the storm. "Indeed even in a maelstrom there's some beauty to the chaos." A massive thrunder shook the ground as he stood out. "Well I better be getting home, and sure thing tomorrow." He said jogging off.
------------
Kuro was at the hospital it was nearly three so Mea should be here soon. He had just set up a few appointments with a few patients simple ones really, they would test Mae's medical knowledge, and he was pretty confident she would pass with flying colors.
