Seeing the flames was enough for Minato to move out of the way watching as chains surrounded their sensei. However he was far more than qualified for this type of attack. In his mind he came up with three different situations where his sensei would have escaped. First was substitution which gave him a twenty foot radius where his sensei would appear. Next would be body flicker although he would have disappeared before, now that he couldn't do handseals it meant that he probably prepared substitution.
Deducting the situation, Minato set out a trap for every ten feet of the twenty foot radius circle. Nothing big but enough to stop their sensei such as a tree branch falling or an explosive tag going off. Giving him enough time to pursue him and make a grab for the mask as he got his kunia ready.

He watched eagerly as his young students were starting to show initiative. Minato was a good distraction; however, just from looking at them, he could tell that the first move was somewhat predictable. The piano wire manouvre was easily spied by Yukito, but he still allowed the wire to wrap him to the tree. Soon, it would be the other young man of the team to reveal himself, and perform his own special technique: a basic Fire-based jutsu that collaborated well with the piano wire. He shook his head in approval as he allowed the flames to come, but at the last minute, he performed the Escape Jutsu and basically disappeared from the scene as the fire caught the tree. The flames weren’t that strong, possibly because of the user’s basic level, which was why Yukito thought to kill two birds with one stone. He was further up in the trees in the shadows, still in the vicinity of the three Genin. He could also see the newcomer apparently trying to set up barriers; clever. He couldn’t see them, but he knew of his mentee’s specialties before they even met. Yukito formed handsigns and performed a downward Great Breakthrough jutsu. The powerful air current dissipated the flames off the tree before it spreaded, and further caused more impact by crashing into the ground, and rebounding on the young Genin forcibly. He was impressed at their first attempt of working together, but it was time to keep this test going up. He took out his blade, rocketed down into the ground and landed his sword in it. At the strike of the ground, a strong electric current crackled through the earth speedily as the one current separated into three coming for each Genin, ready to stretch out and land their targets.

Kushina was amazed at the skill that their Sensei possessed and she had to remind herself not to get ahead of herself. After all this was a test and her temper was not an ally in one. She moved around a bit so she could dodge the fire and not get burned. she again reminded herself to train more and learn her affinity like the others. What that was she was unsure. She however saw that she was going to have to learn more than what she knew but she was a quick study.
She watched as Yukito-sensei did a down Great Breakthrough jutsu and she knew that he had seen that she had used her barriers. Now came the real task, dodging the electricity. That would be a great test. The air current had blown her back a bit and she sighed as she recovered. Darn she was unprepared and she had seconds to react. Now what was she going to do?
