Zero could tell he was reading him trying to figure him out more. Such knowledge was needed when preparing to fight a opponent you hardly knew. Sure he knew Kamajin was a member of the Hyuuga clan so he knew what his eyes were capable of that much was certain. As for his own personal abilities well he would have to test the waters but having read what knowledge Obito had had on Neji Hyuuga and his cousin Hinata he had an inkling of what that might be. All the while he was preparing already gather snake sage chakra as he walked along incase he needed snake sage mode at his disposal for a fight. If that failed well he always had Kamui with which he could effectively dodge almost any attack and come out unscathed. He was curious to see how Kamajin would deal with that no one except maybe Sasuke Uchiha had been able to so far.
It was true he wasn't a true Uchiha like Sasuke was. He was maybe one eighth Uchiha if you could call it that much. It was the reason Obito had believed he would be able to effectively wield a sharigan to a great degree than someone like Kakashi Hatake might be able to. It had only been speculation then but once he had had implanted Obito's eye into himself he found he may have been right. He had been careful not to overuse it as he trained to use and master Kamui through a scroll Obito had left him before his passing. He hadn't completely mastered it yet but he had increased his duration to use it greatly over those twelve years in hiding. "I suppose you might have called me his student." That was all they had ever really been was Master and Student to each other. Beyond that Obito kept to himself and focused on his plan when he wasn't training Zero.
"Well based on the rumors my clan had about members of the Uchiha clan founding our clan Obito seemed to think I had some Uchiha blood in me. That is what I believe gives me greater control over it then someone like Kakashi Hatake." Zero replied walking alongside Kamajin his eyes scanning the walls as he did. He fell silent as he pondered whether to tell him about the others yet or not. Jojo he would leave out to protect her double agent status but the others were fair game they had nothing to hide. "A rogue kunoichi named Sindel from Sunagakure and fanatic of puppets and rare kekkai genkai. Then there is James Saito a great summoner and rogue shinobi from Kumogakure like me. The other well I wish to protect her identity for now." That was all he would say about Jojo on that matter as he fell silent again. "Tell me why did you go rogue from the leaf village if I may ask?" He cast Kamajin a sideways glance now as he waited for a response now.

Kamajin was increasingly becoming more and more interested in the Jewnikami Leader using what knowledge he had on one known as Tobi, but identified as Obito Uchiha. It was already suspicious enough that he had to have many different skills and abilities at his disposal to have, and of course retain, such a powerful position in an elite force of highly skilled shinobi no doubt even aside from the Sharingan, but that led Kamajin to be aware of just how powerfully on point, careful and calculating he would have to be. Tobi himself was capable enough to have someone like Nagato, the temporary owner of the Rinnengan, under control. Yes, Kamajin was even thinking on that level as he progressed with Zero in the darkening location of the ancient lair. Coming down to battling this guy, even if it was just a mere test of skills, Kamajin could not picture what kind of battle it would be. The Sharingan alone was something that he knew his dojutsu could not compare to. Nevertheless, unless this man was a mind reader, he wasn’t going to allow Zero to take note of his worries. Kamajin would look at neutral and uncaring as he usually did, even at times, he would be closing his eyes while walking to give the impression he was bored at times. Right now, there were both trying to learn about each other. In a way, this was just like the Chuunin and Jounin Exams in which he was given ample time to learn about his opponents in advance before their battles.
Kamajin noticed the slight gap of silence aside from the men’s footsteps on the floor after his proposed questions. Soon enough, it was broken with the first response of his relationship with Obito. So, as any good strategist and leader, the Uchiha still had an ace up his sleeve – his legacy would be continued on by this man, along with his tool of manipulation and power, his Sharingan eye. And as any master would do right by their student, there was no doubt that Zero had learned as much as he needed, especially if he was following Obito’s plans and forming his own group. However, that led Kamajin to wonder something else… ”So, I take that means you are following in his footsteps: from forming your own elite group of ninja.. to performing the “Moon’s Eye” Plan.” Kamajin was direct in his assumptions, but he didn’t care – he wanted, no needed to know more about what he was getting into. As he talked about his clan, he made a note to do more research on this Cypher Clan in his own time, but for now, it was enough for him to say how Obito thought that whatever Kekkei Genkai or special ability his blood had was connected to the Uchiha line for him to even wield the Sharingan comfortably without going insane or something. ”I see.” The Hyuuga didn’t even think about the possibility of a hidden Kekkei Genkai also: so another thing to worry about. That just made Kamajin close his eyes again as he walked, just this time as a realization that his guy had too many secrets that could possibly only be uncovered in a fight to really push him to his limits, but was Kamajin good enough presently to do that?
Soon, he got to learn about some of his own team members; some he was aware of as popular nukenin in their respective Villages, including an unknown one that he decided to keep on the downlow, for now anyway. Clearly, this person was of high importance to Zero if he would be keeping this final member a secret from even the other members. ”Forming secrets already I see... do you really think I would benefit from knowing who it is?.. unless I know them.” Kamajin couldn’t really care about this, but he did find it interesting that if he was already suppose to be a trusted member of this ground, he was still being kept in the dark. Silence was the victor once more, and as the two men started to see old torches that needed lighting with rooms alongside the corridor walls now, Kamajin decided to activate his Byakugan to start viewing inside the rooms, especially with the darkened corridors now. As he did this, Zero decided to ask some questions back, to which Kamajin had no problem with answering without leaving any silence in between.
”Growing up, my clan hated me, and treated me like an outsider throughout my development. At a certain point in time, I couldn’t stand the bastards. So, I left them with a few select words that branded my existence as a nukenin.” He told him just enough that would answer his question. He knew that he would be interested in his eye appearance, and details on the Hyuuga Clan, but Zero wouldn’t be the only one that knew how to play his hand. Kamajin was not finding anything interesting in the rooms either, except a few books, and one room being more luxurious than the others. Thinking back as to who would have been here, people that were in Sasuke’s old team were here too with some of them more like Supervisors of the other experiments. Perhaps, he would find something useful..

Zero knew all too well one had to be quite strong to be a leader of an organization like Jewnikami or a village like Shimagakure. He had no doubts about his strength or the fact that he could keep the majority of his members in line. All he had to do there was deliver on some of his promises to keep them appeased and happy. Those that defied his orders while on a mission would be made an example to the others. He would not tolerate disobidence or someone going behind his back to undermine his plans. He had worked too hard to get this far so he couldn't afford any screw-ups now. He would be cautious and careful keeping tabs on all of his organizations members at all times. Jojo Kaguya he knew he could rely without a doubt and Kamajin a man of few words himself seemed like a more reliable member as well though he would keep an eye on him until he knew for sure he was absolutely trustworthy and reliable.
It was true while he may have known about the man's Byakugan it wouldn't make testing him any easier. Hyuuga were masters of Taijutsu which meant there were fast with their hands. Get hit enough by their techniques and his chakra would be cut off for who knows how long leaving him quite vulnerable. Luckily he had a solution for that. Having a clone at a hideout somewhere he could have Snake Sage mode ready at a moment's notice and using his snake sage art sever chakra he could easily restore it using that. He would make sure to avoid it all together using Kamui but to be fair he would only use it for that purpose alone. "That is my main plan for all of this yes. Those members who are most trustworthy shall be spared from it. The rest will fall under it's illusion." In the illusion they would no longer have to worry about dreams. Everyone would have what they desired and more. Those spared from it would have the real power to do freely as they chose to.
"Devil's Eye. That was the Kekkai Genkai my right eye used to possess. Only my cousin possess it now." Raine Cypher. She had been like a sister to him once more than just some cousin. Then he had killed her parents along with the rest of his clan with Obito's help. He had left her to die in the fire but somehow he felt she was still out there somewhere alive and looking for him. It was why he tried not to dwell in one place too long and used the alias Zero to avoid her detection. "They are still a member of their village so they are undercover for me gathering intel with which I might give to Sasuke Uchiha. I will say you had a connection to her in the past." That was all he would say there about Jojo. He had given him a clue to his connection to her so if he thought real hard or dug for more clues he would realize who it was.
"I too shared the same fate. Made an outcast by my clan I joined Obito Uchiha's cause and wiped them out." Zero replied to Kamajin's statement about why he left the Leaf village. Similar reasons though vastly different outcomes. If he hadn't massacred his clan and just ran away he might have turned out like Kamajin. He shrugged lightly as he glanced around the halls again regardless he had no regrets up to this point in his life. They'd found nothing interesting so far at least nothing that interested Zero at all.

Trust was something sacred, but something that many people took for granted. Already Kamajin could tell that this man was no joke, and that he was fully inspired by his old mentor, and was more than determined to fulfill what Obito couldn’t. There was no doubt that Zero was the real deal, and based on his body language, he didn’t give any indication of telling any lies thus far. Although that was all appeasing to Kamajin, it still did not make him feel any more comfortable – honesty aside, the man’s honesty started to back up his standing as a respectful leader (not that he will be following like a lackey) which only made Kamajin start to respect the man. On another note, that made him start to respect his uncovered skills as well. In a way, he was looking to it. Either way, it was something that would replace his excitement for discovering Orochimaru’s lair. Nothing interesting was being found, and it was only starting to let him down some. Suddenly, this meeting with Zero turned out to the highlight of the occasion. However, Kamajin was master of action. He wouldn’t be letting his guard down anytime soon, but still, his attention was grasped, and even Zero would be able to tell that at the very least, even from Kamajin accepting the Jewnikami scroll, that he was in this. As mentioned before, trust would be the next bridge that could take either years to cross, or a mere day. It would all depend on both men’s actions today.
Kamajin knew that he had to reserve his chakra, so his Byakugan receded. It receded just as Zero admitted to following Obito’s plan to a “T”. ”I see…” The way he made it sound, even certain members of Jewnikami would suffer if they weren’t loyal enough. Kamajin could figure that the ones that proved to be dishonest with betrayal qualities would not be expensed, but what of the ones that were still in the organization.. that weren’t superior enough. However, Kamajin brushed off the thought without any arguments about it. As if he had to care about the others which he haven’t even met yet. As long as he played his part, and they played theirs in coexistence, then he would have nothing to worry about. He didn’t have any worries about being caught up in the Genjutsu as long as he showed how capable he was of being part of Zero’s “elite”. Of course, if things were to go sour, he would have to look out for himself, and do what he can to protect himself, but even Kamajin could figure that it will take a long time for Zero’s plan to come to fruition, so he wouldn’t have to worry about any backfires for a while. At this point, Kamajin had every intention to do what he can to grow as a shinobi while also assisting Zero in his plan as a return of his respect and gratitude. Even how Zero admitted to the identity of his Kekkei Genkai to Kamajin, and telling him about his cousin was some form of respect that Kamajin could have recognized.
Soon, it got to the point where he was telling Kamajin more about his “spy”. How he talked about this person, this female apparently, made Kamajin think, and as they walked, it hit him. That made him wonder more about who he thought about, and then, just as it was a finely forming puzzle, everything was coming together. Finally, Kamajin simply said, ”Understood.” He was already against so much chatter, at this point, this was an opportunity for him not so because clearly Zero wouldn’t want to be delving into the identity of his spy. Kamajin would merely just keep the information to himself, and perhaps act upon it later. However, more was raised about Zero himself, and his intel. How he was aware of his connection with his spy, (more than likely from the same informant doing their job), given the Hyuuga more insight on this man. If he had any thoughts of betrayal, they would certainly be diminished now. He had too many tight ends, and playing cards while Kamajin would still be pulling the cards from the deck at this point in the game. He kept the thought in his mind, and decided to move on from it. As the two walked, Kamajin had another curious question that at this point in the conversation, he was more than comfortable to ask. ”Is there anything that you could teach myself?” There was no shame in the question, and certainly none in his tone. Zero was clearly a man of high focus and abilities; certainly, he would have a treasure-trove of powers and abilities at his disposal. He would be curious if there were any of them that he would pass down to any of his Jewnikami members. ”By the way, what were you hoping to find down here?” Kamajin himself wasn’t sure of what he could find himself, if there was anything, he heard before that Orochimaru kept the secrets to the Snake Sage Mode still in his lair without having any need for them as he rose to higher peaks. Just on that alone, Kamajin was interested to find them; not any one was able to adapt to Sage techniques, and it was just as rare as the Jinchuriki were.

Trust was not something easily given out by Zero. Anyone could easily say they were behind him one hundred percent but he wasn't stupid enough to believe them. He kept an eye on contacts before and after he met them to make sure they could back up their claims. Should he even get an inkling of betrayal from them then swiftly and surely he would remove them from being a barrier to his plan. Though he might not trust Kamajin one hundred percent yet he had to respect the man. So confident of his owns skills and goals that he wouldn't let anyone else slow him down or hold him back. Someone like Jojo not so easily used or manipulated he knew he would be someone greatly reliable in time unlike most of the other members who seemed unstable or lacked conviction to back up their skills or goals. Only Obito his mentor had gotten his full trust and devotion and that right now fell to Jojo. In time it was plausible that Kamajin could gain such a trust from him too.
Above all trust was what mattered most in Jewnikami. Those that betrayed him would be dealt with accordingly. Now those that were loyal but lacked skills to complete their given mission would be given several chances but he could only take so much failure. At some point they would have to be dealt with however he chose and replaced. Those that proved to be elite members would be granted greater trust and responsibilities the weaker members were denied. It was simple as that and Zero's decision as true leader of Jewnikami to make. Once fully formed he planned to take a backseat and let one of the members be his puppet to call the strings while he acted like a lackey taking away most of the focus from him to them giving him more freedom to do as he wanted. He wouldn't make the mistake of letting them act so freely as Pain had been able to.
Zero simply nodded Kamajin seemed to understand now. While he wasn't sure it meant he knew it was Jojo he did seem to be curious about who in his past it might be. A fun little treasure hunt to entertain him with for awhile. He knew regardless if Kamajin knew it was Jojo he wouldn't bother her unless she was outside the leaf village seeing as he wasn't allowed there anymore. If anything he might use her as a means to reach Zero whenever he needed to see him. Hearing his request his eyes moved to the left to look at Kamajin now. "Depends on what your looking to learn. Perhaps Senjutsu might interest you being quite rare as it is and me possessing it." Zero was mainly a Raiton release user so if Kamajin didn't know that then that left snake sage mode. At his question he looked forward again hands shoved into his pockets now. "Notes on perfecting the snake sage mode even further." He knew how rare it was only by luck had he managed to learn it himself and perfected his own technique. Still he felt with good note like Orochimaru's he could expand it to new heights.

Senjutsu. An art that was certainly heard of, years back, it was only prevalently known due to the exploits of Naruto Uzumaki utilizing mastery of the ancient art, and his teacher Jiraiya: one of the legendary Sannin who also was taken to the art of Senjutsu. Both ninja learned from the original teachings of the Toads, but there was another that tapped into the art with the help of the snakes – Orochimaru and his legion with the slithery creatures was always distinct, and his mastery of senjutsu may not have been renowned due to his other known feats, but nevertheless, he wielded it, and was told to have forgone it. Backtracking and research has led the Hyuuga to the same cave in which he was exploring with his new “partner”. Interestingly enough, the two were looking for the same thing without any intention of meeting at first. What Kamajin found interesting already was how Zero was already affiliated with senjutsu already: such a feat coloured the Hyuuga impressed.
”It does.” Simple response. He was in no mood to be expressing just how interested he was in it, or to show how impressed that he was already practicing it; just his words, and the look of interest he gave Zero should be enough. With this piece of knowledge, Kamajin could not help but then become more interested in helping the man with his goal. With the possibilities that could happen from just his plan executing, along with what he was entitled, and expecting to receive for his services was more than enough compensation to satisfy both his commitment and loyalty. He would just have to give Zero no reason to suspect or doubt him. The only other person that he could see being just as powerful as Zero, or likely even more powerful, was Sasuke Uchiha with whom he had recently form a solid bond with thanks to their similar backgrounds and origins. Aside from just keeping in touch, there was nothing going on that he was plotting with Sasuke, and at this point, he couldn’t even see that happening. What would Sasuke need him for? ..he was barely trying to even gain his trust, and currently, was doing the same with Zero. All the same, Kamajin knew that he had nothing to worry about, and nothing to hide – whatever that was needed to be known would be revealed in its own time, such as each man’s abilities and powers. Over the years, Kamajin made sure to differentiate his skills, so that he didn’t have his Kekkei Genkai to rely on mainly as in the past.
Speaking of which.. Kamajin’s sharp eyes without even the use of his Gift was able to detect a slightly off lining on the stone floor recently formed upon the two’s field trip. His Byakugan quickly initiated, and instantly, he inspected the suspicious floor area in question. Looking on the walls nearby, he would spy a cleverly camoflauged doorway, and by the looks of the small switch hidden just beneath the stone floor, it didn’t take long for him to calculate the mechanism. Kamajin stomped his foot on the floor as he also pushed chakra from the sole to target the seemingly inaccessible switch. A successful feat undoubtedly as the wall opposite Zero and Kamajin folded back to reveal a passageway which looked different from the stone exterior the two were already in. This passageway looked more modern, and defined: almost special. ”Shall we?” the Hyuuga shamelessly offered. Normally, he would have been walking ahead and stepping through the passageway; perhaps, if he had found the switch, before the two even entered the cave, Kamajin would have most likely kept the hidden discovery to himself, and re-explore the cave after parting ways with Zero, but clearly, as it always does, perception have changed. ooc | feel free to have another “barrier” in our way if you think that’s too simple – like only someone already possessing senjutsu can clear the next obstacle. Just an idea lol

Zero didn't know much about Jiraiya or the fact he had known Senjutsu as well. He had learned about it from hearing Kabuto talk about it to Obito once. Hearing of Naruto Uzumaki he had learned he too possessed Senjutsu though a different type. He had been intrigued by the snake sage and approached Kabuto about it. He had initially wanted to refuse but Obito had managed to goad the medic ninja into taking him to get trained by the Snake King in the months before the war had begun. He hadn't managed to perfect his own snake sage mode until about a year after the war ended being delayed by the implanting of Obito Uchiha's eye and sharigan and the training to learn and master Kamui. Creating his own snake sage art had been difficult but after a few months of testing on bandits he had managed to perfect it enough.
He would simply nod as Kamajin replied it would interest him though his expression didn't show it. A man of few words and even fewer expressions much like himself. He didn't feel the need to say much unless he had a question for the man about his skills or past. Other than that he felt the need to remain silent and dwell on his thoughts about everything. It was possible if he chose to take a backseat and play the fool like Obito had this man or Jojo would be his nominations. People he knew he could trust more than the others. He wasn't sure what he would do yet but he was thinking about it. He was aware of the power difference between himself and Sasuke. Without Kamui he would have quite the hard time fighting the Uchiha off. It was truly a power even few Uchiha could contend with in a fight. It was impressive but not as impressive as he found Susanoo now that was a frightening power. It was understandable why the Uchiha would have made it forbidden to gain the mangekyou sharigan for that reason alone.
He stopped when he felt Kamajin stop his chakra rising now. Then the male moved his foot seemingly triggering a hidden switch of some kind a wall opening near them now. "Indeed." Zero simply replied to Kamajin's request. He proceeded to head inside the new hallway which was much different than the ones they had been in before. He could only guess it meant it led to somewhere special. When it turned out to be a deadend however only finding a wall with an elaborate snake carving in it he had to frown now. "Another puzzle perhaps. I wonder." He placed a hand on the carving and then closed his eyes. After a few minutes they snapped open as markings appeared around his eyes horns protruding from his head now. The snake carving then began to glow bright green and the wall creaked a little before rising up revealing a door now. "He must have really wanted to hide something here if only Snake Sages could access it." Zero then opened the door and nodding to Kamajin headed inside now.

The procession into the new hallway was more than intriguing for Kamajin. This was the reason he came here – to discover something that millions haven’t already come across, and at least for now, this seemed like it. He knew that it would be just like the Snake Sannin formerly of the Leaf would be the kind of man to set up something like this for it to become but a dead end. These were the exact kind of situations Kamajin learned from to keep his emotions and expectations in check. Though, all the same, he still couldn’t help but to feel pleased with the present situation, at least before the ending to the hallway came in to decide the end result of it all. Even the fact that he found Zero, and more opportunity was more than he could have hoped for that day when he decided to search Orochimaru’s lair. His thoughts were silenced though as his visuals came across exactly what he prepared himself for – a dead end. Even though it was clear in their sights, the two men still proceeded for the wall. However, they could see that the wall looked somewhat distinct. Coming to their end’s meet, Kamajin observed the wall carefully, but without using his Byakugan at first.
He was just about to, but it was only when he noticed Zero trying something himself after he commented on the wall possibly being another possible obstacle. The snake carving seemed decorative, but he didn’t want to give up on this. However, he started to feel something peculiar in the room. It didn’t take Kamajin too long to realize it was coming from Zero. His chakra felt distinctively different, and along with odd protrusions that resembled horns, and differently shaped pupils, the man could only look in awe as he witnessed the power of natural energy consuming Zero’s body. His abilities to produce Snake Sage chakra was now pure reality instead of mere words. This feat alone was very appealing to Kamajin’s, but not only in terms of the feat itself, but it showed just how truthful he now most likely was before. He barely noticed how the snake carving reacted to the chakra transfer which seemed to have revealed yet another doorway. From that point, Kamajin was now very interested in this journey. He had to agree with Zero that from this point, practically no one could have come this far due to the rarity of possessing snake sage chakra to open the door. After acknowledging Zero’s invitation to proceed, Kamajin nodded and heeded. ”Impressive..” he commented as he passed him to go through the door.
The newest passageway seemed colder, and darker. The odd thing that was obvious to both of the men was the lit torches that were attached to the downward spiraling wall. The staircase was descending in a circular motion. So, with only one way to go, they headed downwards. ”There’s chakra in those torches. These flames were apparently lit for years.” Kamajin’s White Eye was now activated, and while progressing, he wasn’t picking up anything suspicious. Just the ominous feel from the room though was enough to tell the Hyuuga that Orochimaru definitely have something preserved at the bottom of this staircase. Thankfully, it wasn’t as long as one would think in these situations. They came across two handsome and large oak-based doors. Through further inspection with his Byakugan, and confirming that nothing was out of the ordinary, he opened them. The room was large, but the scenery from the first view was enough to make out the entire contents of the room. It was like a library. Bookshelves crammed with textbooks, notes, and scrolls practically infested the place. Kamajin’s telescopic vision could have made out the textbook covers: some were normal books with very dark titles, others were original: possibly the work of Orochimaru himself, and perhaps even Kabuto along with scrolls that presented the same handwriting among most of them. The middle of the room was the only place that was clear of anything but stone floor, and a stand with the looks of a book rest being its purpose. The middle of the room practically looked like a training spot with the bookshelves surrounding looking like the backdrop for a library. The only other visitors in the room were the spiders and insect-life that favoured the dimly lit study as their home with the amount of cobwebs present. ”A study….” Kamajin said clear and distinctly as he walked further inside, more into the vastly spacey middle.

Zero simply nodded not feeling the need to comment further. Once Kamajin had entered he followed suit close behind him now. He would note the lit torches knowing they couldn't have been lit recently. No it seemed no one had been here in awhile so they must have been special flames like Amaterasu lit some time ago to never go out for quite sometime apparently. Noticing the staircase was the only path he followed suit behind Kamajin letting a hand rest on the railing as he descended behind the Hyuuga leaving a little distance so that he did not bump into him his perfect snake sage mode fading away now as he opted to reserve it's energy once more. "I was thinking the same thing." Zero simply replied at Kamajin's comment about the torches he had noted before. Reaching the bottom they reached two large finely made oak doors. After a quick inspection by the Hyuuga the doors were opened and he followed him inside.
He had expected a lab of some kind to be honest not a library of this size. Bookcases lined the walls mainly and in the center was a stand for a book to be read. There seemed to be a little space around it for training probably using handsigns for new techniques. Zero would pick up a book dusting some cobwebs off of it. When it turned out to be nothing of interest to him he shoved it back into his place and moved to follow Kamajin again. "No telling what secrets we might find here." Zero simply replied moving to another bookcase now. He was surprised to find minor knowledge in it on the Devil's Eye his former kekkai genkai mentioned earlier to Kamajin. A quick flash and his EMS was activated and then using Kamui the book was warped into another dimension for safe keeping. Then his eyes deactivated as he grabbed another book to examine it.
"Take what you want from here Kamajin. I seek only knowledge of perfecting Snake Sage more to create greater technique which in time I may share with you after teaching you the basics as promised." He didn't really care for anything else down here unless it had the potential to further his plans or own abilities he already possessed. If Kamajin could find something like that for him then greater trust in him would be earned. If not well no trust lost same as it had been before.

Kamajin was walking around, now with his Byakugan dying down as his normal, blue eyes scoped out the dust-ridden books left on the shelves after so many years. There was so much to be discovered; so much that Orochimaru left behind in this particular lair without access from anyone but himself, and perhaps Kabuto. There were already some interesting titles that crossed his eyes to which he made mental notes of their locations. Aside from jutsu-laden ones, there were also a couple with regards to Orochimaru’s or Kabuto’s own notes and recordings. History and knowledge were just as important as learning the most powerful techniques: a fact that Kamajin both knew and respected all too well. He waited for Zero to make his own rounds, and to say something as Kamajin did his own. Out of the mere fact that he knew that he wouldn’t have gotten this far without his assistance, he wouldn’t act like the self-absorbed graverobber would. Even if he found some things that he would love to have in his possession, he figured that the least he could do was to let his new teammate get “first dibs”, or have the first say in the matter. It was nothing submissive about it; it was just simple respect. So, in Kamajin’s mind, there were no concerns. Just would have to trust that nothing that he wanted Zero wanted for himself…
Thankfully, it would seem that things did not have to go that far. As Kamajin stopped to think of how Orochimaru must have done his testing and experiments in some other area of the ancient lair while he left his conclusions, final thoughts, and records of his own work and others in this room, Zero finally spoke up for Kamajin to hear as he made his way back to the Jewnimaki Leader in the middle of the room where the small training area was. He managed to see when Zero picked up a book, and after activating his Sharingan, sent it into some sort of portal which dragged the book up. So, that was Kamui up close and personal. Kamajin simply acknowledged it, and moved on to listening for what the man had t o say. He wasn’t the star-strucked kind of guy. He especially had no reason to be concerned about the Kamui when what Zero had to tell him was much more pleasing and relevant to Kamajin at the time. He was more than welcome to take up anything he wished to, including what he could find for Zero in exchange for basic training on the ways of the Sage Mode. Kamajin nodded simply, and once more, activated his own Dojutsu. His eyes were a lot more handy for more minute tasks, just as searching for books more closely without so much walking around. His eyes were sharper and more acute than most of the other clan members back at the Village over much time and training. So even the more minute tasks were easier to perform with his eyes being able to stretch to further distances, speeds, and even better focus.
After about 5 minutes of re-assured scoping, he walked off slowly to pick up all the books which he was interested in: Lab records, techniques, personal notes; Kamajin only scoped a few that was of interest to him, including one that seemed to speak of ancient and rare abilities. The particular book wasn’t focused on it primarily, but it did share a few chapters of the Sage ability, and what could have been done with it with refined and proper training. With his stack of no less than 7 texts in his arms, he walked back and focused his eyes on the top book of his stack for Zero to notice. That one would be for him to take as it talked about Sage Mode in further detail. One other book Kamajin discovered merely detailed the basics and explained abilities of all that Sage Mode was about, and knowing that Zero would have those understood already, he had no qualms in sharing the more advanced one. He was a man that respected the basics, and knew that from those, just as any seed would with the right water and sun proportions, would grow strong. And using basics in a proper, and refined manner to develop strong abilities was no different. ”I hope that is what you were looking for.” he notified him, as he still wasn’t sure if that would satisfy Zero’s particular quench for knowledge.
”So what’s next?” was all that Kamajin had to say as he stood with his White Eye still standing strong with the assortment of texts in his hands. He waited for Zero to finish scope the book though before answering to both of Kamajin’s short statements.

The place was immensive Zero would have to admit. So many scrolls and books it would take a lifetime to read it all and even longer to learn even a fraction of the techniques that might lay here. Of course one had to rule out what was impossible for them to learn limiting it to what nature releases they possessed or what their body might be able to handle. There was also chakra control and the amount one possessed to consider. So many variables to consider and so little time for it all. Zero would look to Kamajin as he advanced towards him now after rifting the book away. He didn't care if the man saw him use it. He could see it as a sign of trust how at ease he was around him or how trusting he was of him at this moment in time.
Seeing Kamajin walk away again when allowed to take what he wanted Zero would simply nod. He would opt to meditate for snake sage mode to gather his nature chakra again. Zero would then sit down cross legged bringing his hands together as he closed his eyes his breathing slowing a bit becoming shallow and slow now. As he began to gather nature chakra he could sense everything around him. He could sense Kamajin and various other insects closeby in the room. After a few minutes he could hear footsteps belonging to Kamajin returning now and his eyes would open. He would then stand again seeing the Hyuuga carrying a stack of books now. He seemed to want him to take one and so he at his comment he took the one off the top and opened it skimming through it now.
"This is what I came for Kamajin. Now come I shall test you outside." He snapped the book shut and then using Kamui once more warped it away. Then he would proceed towards the exit heading back up the spiral staircase making his way back outside again. The secret door would shut again once it had detected there was no longer any snake sage chakra present.

Orochimaru’s extensive research was clearly identified through his collection of information. Kamajin was impressed from the moment he scoped out the area with his White Eye, and bore witness to the different titles and contents he could make out. Along his search, he even discovered some information on his own Clan to which he was somewhat surprised. The Hyuugas were also such a tightly-winded clan who kept their information selective, and in the right hands of the White Eye bearers. Even the Hokage was oblivious to the Hyuuga’s greatest secrets, even if they were considered the eldest of families in the Leaf Village. So to find something here just goes to show just what kind of a man Orochimaru was, and what he was capable of. Kamajin without any hesitation picked up the text upon first glimpse. He came across other interesting texts regarding even Wind jutsu, and detailed explanations for how the nature element worked. So many interesting things, but Kamajin merely took up those that he knew without a doubt could be of some benefit to himself. This treasure trove of information may never be accessible to him ever again, so he was sure to take up just what was absolutely necessary: it was like the same rules of survival applied. Unless of course, Zero would come through with his offer to teach the Hyuuga the ways of harnessing Snake Sage chakra, but that would have to be seen at a later date.
Just as Kamajin was making his way back to the center, he could instantly see and sense a peculiar source of chakra; while in his Byakugan mode, he could pick up on it more acutely than when he first felt this same chakra just slightly outside the wall with the snake head on the wall. So this was the natural energy that would be transformed into a form of powerful chakra. His eyes were easily able to see past the wooden cases, and spot Zero sitting still as the natural energy engulfed his body. He familiarized himself with the process, as he was walking back. No need for him to pause and make Zero, who was most likely in tune with Kamajin’s movements now, suspicious. Though he wondered why he was doing it now, unless it was aiding him in his book search, though Kamajin couldn’t see how it would. After he concluded that the book Kamajin found for him was relevant, he ordered him to leave with him outside for a test. He had to admit that he was slightly taken back by the ‘order’ – Kamajin wondered if he was allowing Zero to think that he had Kamajin’s trust and respect fully, though no amount even above 100% would be enough for the Hyuuga to accept orders and commands that sounded like that. Zero probably felt so pleased with the finding, that he forgot what kind of personality he was dealing with at the moment. However, Kamajin would not act on it, at least not yet. Perhaps this test would serve as a proper outlet to remind the man whom he was dealing with, if it was to lead to battle.
Soon enough, Kamajin would find himself outside as he walked behind Zero. Earlier, he asked him to keep his own books safe for him using Kamui under they were done. The way Kamajin saw it, at least it wouldn’t seem like he was just in it for the possible treasure in the lair and run off. The walk back above ground was long, and pretty much average except for the simple, single hand sign which Kamajin made. Nothing happened, and whether Zero saw it or not, it wouldn’t have mattered. Even if something happened, it would have been for the sake of this test if Kamajin need explain, though of course, he wouldn’t explain it fully. His hands were in his pockets as he was now ready for perhaps whatever it was that was coming as he faced the Cypher.

Zero had only realized his mistake after he had done it. He had meant it as a request but it seemed his joy for knowledge for snake sage techniques had crushed his manners. Still it might force the Hyuuga to put more effort into their fight in order to teach the Cypher a lesson. It had his benefits to him his little slip-up and he could always apologize to him as a show of faith when everything was said and done with. He would note in the future that his members of the group would have to see missions as requests of his that when achieved would greatly benefit their own dreams and goals. Ordering them around like dogs would never achieve what he wanted Obito had realized this early on. By making someone else a false leader through them he would give his missions and through them they might order the others around letting any resentment or distaste fall upon them.
The walk to head outside was mostly silent on Zero's part. He would acknowledge Kamajin's request and warped his books away for safe keeping. He honestly didn't care if the man tried to make off or steal all the books within the hideout's secret study and library. He had no use for it though it would make him distrusting of Kamajin if the man left without finishing his test first. Soon sunlight hit Zero causing him to shield his eyes briefly as they readjusted to the light after having adapted to the darker setting within the hideout. He would continue walking until he left a fair amount of distance between the two before stopping turning around to face him once more. "The test is rather simple. Give me your best. After a certain amount of time I will end the test so you have until then. Impress me and I will gift you with snake sage training." Zero would simply say his expression blank and emotionless now. Fail and Kamajin would have his collection of books at least. Zero then stuck out a hand and motioned for Kamajin to start them off now.

Kamajin merely eyed the man carefully. Every action and motion, he would keep track of, and make his selective determinations. It was amazing just how much you can learn about a person through their actions. You can even learn something about someone’s strategy before they even employ it. Kamajin’s perception skills were one he highly valued, as they saved him many times in and out of the battlefield. Usually, if he had ever encountered someone, he would have done his homework. He could honestly say that he had never came across many surprise attacks as he was a man that was firm in his preparation for the worst. To come across these surprise encounters would take his perceptive and analytic skills to the fullest, and this moment was no different as he focused on the Cypher in front of him. He knew practically nothing about his skills, yet he knew just enough about him to prepare effectively, and declare victory. Yet, this was only a test…
Zero probably just wanted to see just what the Hyuuga was capable of, and how he would fit perfectly into the Jewnikami even despite his past registration just about an hour or so ago. The only thing was that Zero was quite clear when he notified Kamajin of his test requirements – no playing around, not clever parlor tricks that could do justice; he wanted his best. There was also a time limit to which Kamajin would not be notified of; so if the man was not impressed, would that be it?.. Would Zero revoke his offer? Would he let Kamajin go with such knowledge of this new organization if he failed?.. All of a sudden, nothing was set in stone anymore. It was as if nothing mattered before, and this test would determine it all. That also included Kamajin’s opportunity to learn a technique that he was in search of. Perfect..
Perfect, indeed. Kamajin’s blank, neutral stare was now slowly changing. A slight grin appeared at the corner of his mouth as he just slightly tilted his head for the glare of the sun to hit his glasses, covering his eyes effectively. So, this was Zero’s little game. Although Kamajin was slightly annoyed by it, he couldn’t help but be pleased with the offer. The man wanted his all, no holding back. Now, the Hyuuga was famously known as the “Silent Storm” for his deadly and ruthless techniques, he had never really ‘let loose’ many times in his multiple conflicts overtime. There were only just about two times in his life as a nukenin when he had actually gave his all. The first time was not a serious battle… while the other was. With that being said, this would be the second time which he has been invited to dish it out. He noted Zero’s “signal” to commence, and the man’s own neutral, expression-less tone in his body language, and face. He was still unknown of what Zero was completely capable of, but since this was not a very serious ‘squabble’, he would be treating his strategy differently. The time limit was also an important thing – it could be 1 minute for all he knew. Still, all of this kept the devilish grin on Kamajin Hyuuga’s face.
Kamajin dashed forward suddenly without a moment’s hesitation or warning; his upper body was lowered slightly as he ran with his arms outstretched behind him as he ran. His head was perfectly arched up to look at his target with the same devilish glare and grin in his face. Soon, he would be approaching the man with his hands now focused, and hands coming to fighting position. His eyes were blocked by the sun, but the familiar veins by his eyes could be seen slightly.

Zero's response left no doubt some confusion but many possibilities. To Kamajin it seemed he had taken it as a means Zero might go back on his word if he failed. The look in his eyes said this more than his facial expressions ever could. He would simply smirk perhaps his slip of the tongue this time would inspire the man even further. Regardless he would honor his word to the man and give him the training he sought it was only fair after the gift given to him and already he had made him a member of his group. Call it manipulation if you will but Zero knew but suggesting the opposite of what he meant would force the man to fight harder in order to pass the test and receive his reward. That was the true test in the end to show how ambitious the man truly was and how far he would go to obtain what he sought from Zero.
It was something Obito had instilled hard into the Cypher in the short months they had training together. Everyone had different strengths and personalities. It was finding out what those were before one could learn to use them to manipulate them for whatever reason one might want to. In this case it was the lie to take away the temptation of great power from the man hoping to have him fight back twice as hard to get it. He would would smirk looking up as Kamajin came at him now. He would flash the handsigns for his shadow clone jutsu making a single clone which would retreat into the trees looking for a place to meditate and gather nature chakra. Zero would then activate his single EMS sharigan now a means to combat any genjutsu that might be cast to keep the battlefield level and even for them both not that he was much of a genjutsu user himself. He had given that up when casting away his heritage for this gift of the Uchiha clan. Then in a poof he summoned his Heaven's trident and pointing it at Kamajin fired off three lightning balls as he advanced towards him now.
