PERSONALITY:
A shy girl that likes to keep to herself as much as possible even within her family. She doesn't like to talk much unless spoken directly towards even then her voice is typically low and calm. Not the kind of personality you would expect from a Chunin level kunoichi. Her fellow shinobi describe her as the kind of girl that would rather sit at home than out with friends for a night on the town.
During battle she is most useful for long range combat rather than short range or hand to hand. A pretty good tracker or she can even be used for spying if the need ever arises. Mayuko is more attentive with her squad or out of missions as she was granted to become a Chunin for a reason.
Social experiences aren't the best place for a girl like Mayuko to be at. She is quite uncomfortable around large amount of people and tend to get claustrophobic easily. Sexuality is a little hard for her as she know she likes both guys and other girls but not on their appearance. She doesn't understand why that is and tend to get shy even more when confronted about things like that.

HISTORY:
Birth Saga
Mayuko Mizushima born on January 15th was born into the Mizushima Clan of Iwagakure. She was born with her fate already decided that she would be the next heir to the clan. Being only a baby girl she couldn't really challenge the decisions and she was more or less stuck. Her older sister has always resented her for the fact she is the next to lead the clan having this ideal she should be the one to lead the clan next. Thanks to this her sister was never really that close to her and therefore their relationship was strained. At the age of eight it was time for the next saga in her life... the Iwagakure Academy Saga!
Iwagakure Academy Saga
Mayuko time in the academy was a learning experience as such it should. She didn't really follow her clan lead and drifted away from the clan nindo way and therefore created her own. Believing that to bring her clan to new heights she needed to create relations with the other clans in Iwagakure. Trying to stay on the good side of potential allies for her clan she didn't really show potential as a heir to the clan should be.
She was called an almost impossible candidate for a kunoichi but never did she let that get her down. Mayuko needed to trust in herself and everything will fall into place smoothly. At the age of twelve Mayuko Mizushima graduated from the academy. With the mind set that she will prove herself to everybody and become a chunin just as easily. That is when the Genin Saga of her life began and the academy saga ended.
Genin Saga
Being assigned to her genin team was actually a pretty proud moment for Mayuko. She was assigned to a team with a fellow earth style user and a water style user. The Jounin in charged of the team was a woman with earth and water style techniques. They were a team of trackers with one member specialize in spying and the sorts. She didn't really care about who was on her team she will be there to protect them with her life. They had their bickers but what team doesn't bicker once in awhile.
Her team was the first Genin team to ever be given a B-rank mission which was thanks to her Jounin leader. Apparently they didn't know what was out there and how dangerous it could be so she wanted to teach them a lesson. Mayuko was all psych about the mission though her tone change not long after that. They were guarding a shipment of important scroll and documents that would surely be attacked by enemy shinobi of other nations. It was indeed attacked and in the chaos the water style user Genin was KIA. She never forgave the Jounin that had caused all of this by demanding they be given a more dangerous mission.
Mayuko and the earth style user knew that they had to become Chunin and if not then their friend died for no reason. With that in mind they worked hard and convinced their leader that they were ready for the Chunin Exams!
Chunin Exams Saga
Mayuko had faith in her team and knew that if they stuck together they will make it through these exams. It wasn't all that easy for her since the team was down one member making the Forest of Death pretty damn hard. There were times that they both believed they were gonna died in the forest but then they remembered their fallen comrade. With determination and faith they used their talents and work as a team and made it to the final tournament of the exams.
She was proud of herself though the forest of death came with a heavy price. The water style Genin was heavily injured just as they were making it out of the forest of death and couldn't continue in the exams. Now it was up to her to prove to herself and her clan that she can do anything without having to fall to their corrupt way of life. Mayuko developed her own techniques using the poisonous black widows that laid dormant inside of her body. Even had a secret backup plan up her sleeves in the form of a summoning technique she had in stored.
It was finally her round in the tournament and she was up against no other than a girl by the name of Ayana Moyichi. This girl was in her graduating academy class and she was one hell of a opponent. Mayuko no matter how hard she tried it was as if fate had decided that it was her time to fail in the exams. It was a tough battle and she had for sure thought she would die in this battle. At her wits end she had no other choice as she used her summoning technique. Showing that she will find hope in the darness and was prepared to risk her life if it means she might not become a kunoichi. With that and her determination she was promoted to Chunin.
Current Saga
Mayuko currently is just hanging around the village waiting for a mission if the need ever arises. She spends her time watching clouds or honing her skills to become stronger. Waiting for the day that she can find a strong kunoichi to train under.
