What a beautiful day outside and the breeze was just so perfect with the sun. The coast was the best place to be when it was like this due to the water was calm and you could just have the best time out there. Mae walked from the cloud village down to the coast holding at her side Horatu and her katana as they were signature to her. She knew that even if things were settled there were still possibility of having an attack on the village and who better than to stand out on the coast to help prevent it. The blond had her hair wrapped in red ribbons and in pig tales with of course a few strands hanging down. She looked out on the ocean one day hoping that everything would be like it as it was calming and enjoyable. She wanted to try a few techniques out there but even so if she used the daggers it would drain her chakra quickly. The twin daggers were her creation and only worked with her and the techniques she was able to do. She headed to where there was a little stone sticking out the rocks and sand of the coast. Fresh flowers laid on top of it showing someone had been there recently. Mae looked around having the feeling she was being watched or if someone was there.

The Sixth Raikage had something to do today, over paperwork and any other missions. Kuro had been assigned to finish the last few things at the office while Darui handled this. At the coast was where she could be found. The woman that needed to be spoken too.. About her sister. Someone that had betrayed the village but in Darui's mind, there was nothing else he could do about it to this girl. No, this chunin kunouchi was faithful to the village.
Darui stepped out onto the coast and approached her as she turned around to catch him with his normal clothes on, except a long white sleeved cloak that came out to collars around his neck that said 'Sixth Raikage' on the back. He didn't like the full cloak kind of thing with the hat. It seemed rather dull.
"Hello Mai.. Coming out to keep a watch on the coast for the village." This was where guards were assigned during the war. In case of an invasion, like the one that happened from the Hidden Moon Village and Shimagakure. [/blockquote]

Mae could feel her breath caught in her throat as she seen the Raikage out here and wanted to speak to her. It was weird for her to say that she was becoming a bit popular with everyone. She bit her lip not sure what to answer to that. She in away was kind of guarding the coast but in the same sense she was really visiting her brothers grave as well. “Sir… I was… well yes sir I was helping protect the coast.” She spoke trying to figure out what to really say. What could the young kunoichi say she was watching a lot of the coast and she had a bit of power and strength behind her that she was able to defend off most people. It was still a bit shocking to see him out here on the coast with her. Normally most ninja would just ignored the blond as she wasn’t all that important or just looked at her like she was crazy for not giving up when her sister betrayed the own nation. “Raikage sir what brings you out here? Don’t you normally stay in the village?” The blond asked trying to figure out why he was always busy and it was a great surprise to have him here with her. Mae bit her lip a little not sure what she should have been doing or asked a question like that. But the young women was curious to know why he was out here versus being in the tower. It was a relief though to know he knew her name at least.

Darui just nodded, he knew the young Yuuki boy was buried there. "I know your brother is out here. Always watching over the coast of Kumogakure for us.. Yuuki family has been for the Lightning Village for a long time. Cloud blood has always been strong in them." Darui said as he looked forward into the water. "Even two years after the war, you still come out here and protect the coast for us. A very impressive feat." This was comments that led up to some of the things he wanted to talk about with her. Nothing really else to do but start in when she asked why the Raikage was outside of the village.
"I'd have to be lying to say I wanted to see the coastline. To be honest, it's dull here. I've lost a lot of comrades during the Fourth Shinobi Great War. I've come here to talk to you about Yuuki Alessia... Your elder sister." A sigh came from his lips. How could he tell her this?
Darui then looked over and made eye contact. "She was listed as a S-wanted Criminal inside of the Bingo Books. Meaning she has a do not capture poster on her head. She can be killed legally now.. With no hesitation.. Do you understand what that means?" It meant if Mae sees her sister she would have to fight her.

Mae had a sinking feeling when he spoke to her. When he spoke about her brother being buried out her she remembered back to the last time she seen her sister in the very spot as she retried to explain about what happened to him. It wasn’t hard to figure out he was killed but for a while she’d blame Alessia for his death. “Yes well this is the spot where Leo was buried my brother. It’s a promise I made to him… and to someone else to at least come out and visit his grave and watch the coast. I can’t say that my family would do the same.” She spoke softly not sure where he was going with this. It was such a rare site to be meeting with someone. “Thank you sir, I try to do my duty.” She added knowing that it was just the least she could to help her family out. She sighed a little as he began to speak again wanting information about her sister. Or at least wanted to talk to her about it. “Please sir I’d rather not talk about her. After all she isn’t here and won’t come back we all know that.” Mae said trying to stay off subject of her sister nor could she ever bring herself to face her sister. She looked down when he spoke about her being the S-rank ninja the enemy with. The kunoichi knew her own sister wasn’t what everyone said she was. She wasn’t the crazy ninja as people portrayed her as. “To be fair sir, I don’t think we need to worry about Alessia. She may have been stupid in her choice of leaving and joining him but my sister is smart enough to know that she’s not welcome here nor would she attack us.” The young kunoichi spoke regretting the fact she had stood up for her sister yet again. Even if she didn’t like Alessia she knew that she wouldn’t come back unless she had a good reason. “Besides if she does ever come back she would only visit this spot. I can’t fight unless she starts it sir it my moral value when it comes to family. Even if they betrayed us…” She spoke wanting to make it clear she refused to fight her sister. She knew that was going to have a bit of a backlash to her being that she swore she’d protect the village and even the name of her family again.

Mae wouldn't want to talk about Alessia. In a way, the Raikage understood that but this had to happen. This conversation was followed by better news of course but it was a purpose to all of this. Not just him giving her a lecture. "And trust me, if it was any other way than I wouldn't but... Alessia you have to realize. The threat of war breaking out between us and Konohagakure is very real. Almost on the verge. We cannot forgive Uzumaki Naruto and his village for taking back those murderous... shinobi." Darui was careful not to outright insult this girl's sister.
Of course the speech of her not being what every thought came into play. One that he heard for Uchiha Sasuke all the time. "I understand. Just know, as a shinobi for Kumogakure. If war is upon us and your sister makes a stand.. I expect you.. as Kuro's new student. To do the right thing for your village over your family. Especially one that has chosen another side."
Darui then sighed once more. "In mentioning of that, I will have Kuro be watching your progress with missions. If you improve enough, suggestion for Jounin Exam will be made by me personally."

Mae knew it was a conversation that had to take place it always had to. She for three years avoided it from anyone and it was hard for her to even talk about it. It came with the territory though, she was related to her and there wasn’t much she could do about it. She listened to him, knowing full well that the war would break out soon. She hated to go against her sister but figured the same for her sister due to the two having almost close in mind. The kunoichi had no choice but to agree with him, even if she hated that decision. “Of course sir, I understand that we can’t forgive them or Konohagakure.” Mae spoke trying to fight her own words. As much as she hated her sister it still pained her too actually to see a war against her sister. She bit her lip a little as he continued on about the war and fighting against her. She looked away knowing what her brother would say he would be furious that her and Alessia were fighting again and a little smile came across her thinking about that. “I understand Raikage….and as much as I hate to say it here… I will fight against my sister if it comes to it. I mean I know her moves better than anyone else. With Horatu I am sure I could win.” Mae said with the little smile on her face, it was kind of weird how she knew the day would come that she’d have to fight her sister. Of course the young sibling never gave much credit to herself about her strength but she was almost beyond the point of her sister. She was pretty much equally matched, even if she lacked techniques. She looked up when he spoke about Kuro watching her progress and becoming a Jounin. She was a bit shocked that would be the case. “Wait… So if I improve beyond what I have already I could be considered for the Jounin exams. That’s amazing!” Mae said with a huge smile on her face. Of course she trained her butt of for the last few years.

The topic of war and Mae's sister was over. Now she had the talk of the Jounin Exams. "Yes and after that happens. Well I'll explain it all to you I suppose since it's probably gonna wind up happening as long as you keep up your training." Darui said with his finger pointed upward, now this was where things would get tricky. The Raikage would explain the solo exam for the young chunin. It would be a trial for her life, that'd be for sure.
"Well the Jounin Exam has four parts instead of the normal three for Chunin and no teams or any others. It'll be your own personal thing going on. First part will be your testing schedule. Surely you'll pass. Next will be survival in the Kumogakure Mountains with the wild animals and assassination teams being sent in. Of course third part will be Team Leader ship for when your assigned genin and then an expedition match at the end of it all." Quick and easy enough.
Although he let out a lot of the exams.. especially the part of the end where she would have to face Darui. [/b][/blockquote]

Mae was excited now for the news, she wanted to advance young due to her abilities were amazing. She jumped up and down so happy for the news. “Alright I am sorry. I really am happy for it though. So as long as my training goes we are good right?” She said with a laugh. It was weird to see the typical normally calm chuunin so excited for this type of news. Not typically would she had reacted in such a manor but it was some good news on a bad day. When he explained how it would go she knew the first two would be the easiest part and problem the fourth test just because she was good in fighting. But when it came to having a leadership role it would be a bit trickier. She rarely worked with anyone and being as young as she was she couldn’t really get over the fact of how to teach. She pondered it in her mind what she could do with them. In battles most ninja didn’t like going against her because she had a tendency to over doing things and always over thought in a fight situation. Not to mention she was pretty good about being a bit on the cold side. “So first thing is my training schedule. Is that just going to be with Kuro as my apprentice in being a medic?” Mae asked as her first question above all else she wanted to make sure she knew the details. “Next, survival will be easy but as far as assassins going am I supposed to kill them or just defeat them?” Another popped out her mouth being curious about the whole she thought of a few more. “Are you sure you trust me with genins?” the third question. “Who will I face in the expedition fight?” The last question Mae could ask before thinking any more. She felt sorry for the person she’d fight against almost. It was a hope for a challenge of course the female knew if anything it should be at least difficult.

At the mention of all this promotion stuff, Mae seemed to change to excited as she jumped up and down and apologized. "No need to, it's good to see someone with such charisma left in our forces. People like me, who view things as more dull then anything don't inspire anyone to try harder at something." Darui said waving his hand in front of his face. Only the most excited of people could inspire others to strive forward. Somewhere he lacked in a lot for Raikage though, it didn't matter. He inspired through how he led the people.
"And yes, which I'm sure it would. Kuro is an excellent teacher." Darui's right hand man would prepare this girl for the Jounin Exams. "As for your questions, Kuro will be training you in a lot more than medical ninjutsu. And for the entire exam thing, just wait until the time comes and all will be revealed to you."
Darui began to turn around. "But I will let you know your last question for the expedition match. Your opponent.." His white hair turned around facing the chunin. "Will be me!" He said pointed his thumb at himself. Chunins had to prove their skill to the leader of the village to prove themselves worthy of being an elite ninja in their country.
"I must get back now. See ya Mae."
