New day. New beginnings. Every day brought the death and life of another very simply. This was the way a young Jounin of Konoha thought as it made life much more understandable and easier to life. He's been through a lot, and was on the very verge of death and losing himself. Coming back from that was no easy faither, and it wasn't taken lighltly either. Yukito took up more responsibility to make up for his transgressins even if they weren't his fault initially. Plus, he wanted to grow from his past, and continue to aim for the best. To this day, he believed that he was coming far in that task - even as the man effortlessly jumped from rooftop to pole in a sequential manner. He swiftly went along with his Anbu mask on to hide his appearance. Only so many knew of his different professions - most knew of his medic responsibilities, but not much about Anbu.
That day though, he wouldn't be dealing with Anbu responsibilities even with the mask on. Yukito was soon past the Gates, and heading for the Konoha Forest. Today, he was to meet young genin that would officially be his students, mentees. It was a day he looked forward to himself - he always wanted to teach and pass on what he knew: especially after all that people have taught him like Naruto, Sakura, and many others. It was now his turn, but of course, he wouldn't try to mock his own mentors. He had his own style about him, and even though he intended to be original, the lessons to be passed down would still be essentially the same.
Speaking of originality, he managed to send out messages for each Genin to meet their new mentor in the Konoha Forest where the popular lake was, at noon surrounded by wilflife. Yukito's movements proved to be efficient as he reached the stop timely by a few minutes before noon. There, he would sit by a boulder adjacent to the lake, and start polishing his prized katana. By the time noon hit, he awaited just how long it would take for his new students to find the spot, or which ones would lose their way..

Meet your new sensei inside of the Konoha Forest around noon.. Those were all the words they got. Of course, Minato was more perceptive of this. It was a test, would they be able to find their way to the new sensei? Or would they be and never be able to prove themselves at all? Well for one Minato was not going to be lost in this whole agenda of things. Around noon, he stepped towards his window. Strapping the Konoha Headband tight to his head staring dead forward. Nothing would break this concentration as he was jumping through the rooftops again. His speed remarkably, as he swung from pole to pole, sliding across slanted rooftops before he hit the village gates.
Even then, he swung from a pole and landed on the ground. 'Let's see. I couldn't imagine this guy was hiding his tracks too well..' That was when Minato noticed the guard duty to the right side. "Hey! Excuse me! Can you tell me which way a jounin headed early? Probably about ten to twenty minutes ago?" Rules Number 38 of being a shinobi. Use resources when available.
All they could point out which branch he jumped from but that was enough. Minato climbed up and saw the footprint mark that indicated which way the man jumped. After about thirty minutes, Minato was jumping in the same manner as the man would have been before finally jumping into a clearing landing softly.
His blond hair popped up with those blue eyes and light whisker marks being shown. Uzumaki Minato, reporting for duty!"

"Sorry!" Satoshi Gushiken apologized as he dodged the villagers in the street as he carelessly ran through the crowd. Already he was late for the meeting with his new sensei and teammates which worried him. It wasn't a good impression to be late for the first time meeting with your sensei. Maybe he'll be lucky and this new sensei of his wouldn't notice he was running late? Though with his luck he will not just notice but get onto him for being late. Finally after carelessly running through the crowd he ram right into a Ramen take out cart. Satoshi groaned as he picked himself up and dusted himself off before apologizing about what he had done. Already he was coming up on being twenty minutes late for the meeting until he had to stop and ask for directions which finally got him on the right track. Finally it was about twenty minutes after Minato Uzumaki arrived they he had found his sensei. Hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath before taking a slight deep breath. Satoshi stood up and looked between Minato and Yukito with a apologetic look before bowing towards them. "Sorry I'm late. I overslept this morning." he apologized as he stood back up again. His blade Sever Wing was gently gleaming from the small sun beams managing to pierce through the dense forest foliage as Yukito polished it properly. It was still a bit dirty with blood stains on the metal from his last mission. As he looked at it, he thought back to when his parents bestowed the family heirloom to him when he was training as a Genin. It was a special katana passed down the Fuukame line to aide shinobi in bringing out the best in both their kenjutsu and wind chakra. It has aided Yukito greatly in many battles, and while sitting down in that serene place, he enjoyed his good memories, and even the bad ones; either way, he knew that this blade was special, and he never thanked his father again for trusting him with it. He made a mental note to do just that as he watched the reflection of his white mask in the metal. Soon enough, watching his own mask made him think of the present: meeting his new Genin squad to help them create their own memories.
Yukito stood up to hold his blade in place in the ground in a brighter spot by the lake. Looking at the shadow the katana made, he was able to determine just how many minutes were past noon. His Genin students were supposed to be there for that time, but he didn’t expect them to be so timely, or at least, he wasn’t counting that they did. He was already aware that one of his team would be out of commission today, so he would have to work accordingly. Yukito sat back down by the lake on the smooth boulder, cleaning the hilt of the blade now as he heard approaching footsteps. Eventually, he knew that his footprints and tracks would lead the others to where he was. Soon enough, the first of the team was there: the yellow-headed, spirited young man with blue eyes, and hint of whisker patterns on the sides of his face made his entrance by jumping onto the serene scene.
Minato Uzumaki made his introduction, and the ANBU jounin shook his head in acknowledgement. He knew who this boy was, and he wondered if Naruto even knew of the boy’s existence. He would have to ask later on, but just because he was who he was, didn’t mean that he would be treated any differently. ”Glad you could make it. We should be expecting just one more person. Let’s be patient.” Yukito was never rude, even if he came off as such sometimes. He just know when to speak, and was wary of how he spoke. He wasn’t one to sound happy, or spirited in personality: he showed his true spirit on the field, but in time, his team would come to know him, as he will them. It took Minato about 30 minutes after noon to arrive, and it took a further 20 minutes for his counterpart Genin to arrive as well. Satoshi arrived in a hurried state, bowing to his sensei and teammate in apology for lateness. Yukito stood up and reassured him that it was ok. He asked the two boys to stand a few feet from the small lake while he stood in front of them closer to the water’s edge with the lake backing him.
”Welcome Satoshi-san, Minato-san... it is an honour to be your new Jounin mentor, and I hope that we can make today the start of many journeys and discoveries. First, let’s get introductions out of the way. My name is Yukito Fuukame, of the Konoha Fuukame Clan. As you can see, I’m an ANBU agent for the Village, but I also dabble in the medical arts and assist the hospital as well. I’m in my 20’s, and I enjoy leisure time when I can take it doing writing, listening to music, barbeque, and learning new things. I can’t stand negativity, spiders, surprises, and missing-nin. I only aspire to better myself as a man, and a shinobi, find my brother, and perhaps, meet someone special..... oh, and no I won’t be taking off my mask.” Hell, Yukito wasn’t really trying to copy his old sensei, or pass on his weird legacy; he just wasn’t planning on revealing his identity at this point for the sake of his ANBU responsibilities, and for the Village. There was a time before where he used the mask mainly to hide his face from the people who still saw him as an out-of-control cursed mark freak who nearly killed people, and who was still probably considered “Sasuke’s lap dog”. Now, he was more comfortable with his newly found place in the Village, but his new team would soon see why he wasn’t taking it off. ”Tell me something about you two: names, likes, dislikes, what are your strengths, what you would like to learn in particular, and what you aspire to become in the future.” He stood nonchalantly with his hands in his pockets as he faced his new students.

An masked man, no doubt ANBU was standing there. A quick observation that their sensei was an ANBU solider. Something that Minato would remember. Those guys weren't to be taken lightly in any kind of situation. "Just one more person, alright then!" Minato said as he jumped up, grabbing a hold of a branch. With a quick swing, his legs were wrapped around the branch swinging back and forth gently. His blond hair even more spikey looking as it pointed all towards the ground. This was probably one of the happiest days he could think of. Finally he was going to begin his training towards becoming what he dreamed to be. Just one more step closer.
Finally Satoshi arrived apologizing for being late as Minato swung downwards landing on his feet. "It's not a problem Satoshi!!" They had known each other in the academy, although they never really talked it was good to have a familiar face on his team. Especially with how young he was compared to the other Genin 9.
Every last detail of the ANBU's life was taken in. Yukito Fuukame, a medical ninja also equipped with a special sword from Minato's observations. Compared to the other katanas of the normal ANBU. And how he wouldn't be removing his mask. 'Great.. so he could be watching us from afar and we'd never know it.' Another collective thought process of Minato's.
Now he had to say some things about himself. "Well I'm Uzumaki Minato, the Seventh Hokage and Uzumaki Karin's son! I like ramen, training and making more comrades. I dislike people who disrespect my village, bitter and spicy foods. Also missing nin. My strengths are easy enough. I'm wind natured along with being the fastest ninja since the Fourth!!" This was an exaggeration of course but this was a dream of Minato.
"What I'd like to learn more than anything is the Rasengan and of course." Now a smirk came to his face as he pulled out one of the special made Fourth's Kunia. "Master the Flying Rajin technique and become the next Hokage being the third in my family to take the title and Konoha's Second Yellow Flash!!" Dreams higher than anyone would expect him to accomplish but his eyes showed nothing but determination.

Satoshi started to relax once his sensei reassured him that it was okay for him being late to the meeting. Guess he was worried about being late was for nothing. He was greeted by a Genin he knew from the academy as he landed on the ground close to him. Minato Uzumaki somebody he knew but never talked to now greeted him. Everybody at the academy was always curious about if the blonde was related to the Hokage somehow. Nodding his head in response to the greeting as Satoshi attention was drawn towards their sensei. There would be time later for him to get better known with his teammate. Right now was the time for them to start the team with their sensei. His ears perked up as he listened to the AnBu man tell them about himself. It was interesting to learn about their sensei but soon it was their turn as he allowed Minato to go first. Satoshi had a sort of special interest in their sensei from the moment he laid eyes on him. Being mysterious like not taking off his mask seem to attract most people to want to know more about him. Though his turned came around as he cleared his throat a little before looking toward his sensei. "Name is Gushiken Satoshi the son of AnBu Jade Gushiken. I like sweets, adventuring, and as you can see from my lateness sleeping. Cold weather annoys me and spicy foods makes me sick. Prove myself a valuable shinobi of the village is my biggest ambition. I am trained in the use of fire style techniques and one day I hope to become trained in the use of earth style techniques as well." the young Genin answered as he finished by nodding to show he was done as he looked forward at their sensei. His blue eyes observed his new students carefully as they themselves watched and observed him. Immediately, he admired their ability to take in their surroundings, and the new figure that stood before them; it may just prove to be very useful. At that point, he thought about the third member of his group: a young lady who would be late that day, but hopefully, she would not be too late in today’s special lesson. Nevertheless, he just let the thought come and go as he would have to tune in about this new information about his students. Of course, he would have gotten his debriefing from the Academy jounin about his new Team, but he would consider what they have to say to be just as important as what he learned from their teachers in his instance. He first tuned into the somewhat hyperactive young blonde who was clearly anxious about the whole thing: Yukito could not help but look at the uncanny irony when he looked at the Genin through the slits in his mask.
Even his likes, and dislikes were like the current Hokage’s. Being on Naruto’s team for a few years taught him enough about him to see it all in this young man. So, he could only imagine what was in store for him as a teacher – kind of filling in Kakashi’s shoes in a small way dealing with another knucklehead ninja of the Leaf. Yukito made no body movements as he took on young Minato’s introduction. At the very least, he was somewhat prepared for him, but now it was Satoshi’s turn. His personality was definitely different as he seemed more conscious, and conservative. His ambitions were strong, somewhat similar to Yukito’s when he was a Genin starting out, and practically still on that he strives for up to this day. After it was all said and done, he merely nodded, and stood with his back straight, and armed crossed. ”All right then.... you both have admirable qualities, and strong ambitions. In general, you both strive to make good men and shinobi out of yourselves. As long as you have a dream to commit to, it’ll make your paths easier to strive for. Don’t let go of your passion. Now then...” His tone at first was relaxed, calming and reassuring, and soon it would change to serious, and chilling – as he have come to do very well in his neutral, seemingly moody expressions. ”That was the first, and perhaps the last lesson you would learn from me as your Jounin mentor because.....” He pointed at his masks with one of his hands. ”Your task for today is to impress me by taking off my ANBU mask. Whoever fails miserably and disappoints me, will be returning to the Academy for another 4 years. Yukito now just stood there with his arms folded again starting at the now surprised Genin.

Minato was staring forward when the lesson was given to him. Take off the Jounin's ANBU mask. Ah, so he wouldn't remove it. They would. The blue eyes shot over to Satoshi. It was only for a second but the younger blonde's hand went on the blue haired boy's shoulder. "We need to regroup and plan something out." With one handseal, both flickered off into the woods some away from the Jounin. The best jutsu that Minato had, his Body Flicker technique. With the ability to take people along.
A rare quality for a genin but that was for later as he turned to his teammate. "Alright, we need a plan to go at him. I'm better up close and attacking because of my speed. I might be able to grab at his mask. What's some of your jutsu? Anything long range?"
Minato was formulating something already, whether his jutsu be long ranged, medium or short. It was the type of boy he was. Even though he got the hyperactiveness sometimes, unlike his father when he was a genin. Minato had his grandfather's genes of stopping and analyzing a situation. Especially with his smarts.

The task at hand seemed to be simple enough for them. All he had to do was work together with Minato to get their sensei mask off. Though things seem to be harder than they seem when it came to dealing with shinobi like their new sensei. His neck twist and turned as he worked on stretching his muscles for the test. That was all he needed was to pull something their first test. Let just hope that he can make it through this so he can move forward with his training. His eyes glanced over at the blonde once he felt a hand on his shoulder. Minato was cute in that hyperactive sort of way but he see them more as friends than anything more. That and he knew the other Genin was on the straight side of the street. His breath wasn't ready as Minato used the body flicker technique which surprised him. Most ninja their age shouldn't be able to perform that technique but Minato wasn't like most. His brain started to work overtime as he was asked about his techniques and anything long range. The only thing long range really is his Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique. Though he has to get close enough to capture the Jounin in the piano wire. Maybe he can used his kunai and shuriken to extend his reach with his piano wire. "Only long range attack I have really is the Dragon Fire technique. Though I can probably use my piano wire to capture him if I can get close enough." he informed the blonde as he looked over at him. ----------------------------- WORDS: 277 words TAGGED: Minato and Yukito CLOTHING: fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/0....ary-d5wn1b9.pngNOTES: Having fun!

Her Red hair flew around her as she ran to make it on time and even though she had no idea where she was going the directions that had been given her led her towards the forest. She didn't say a word as she dodged the hustle and bustle of the Villagers who seemed to gawk at her. She had no idea why but it always made her angry. Her temper was not great this morning and it showed when she lashed out at an innocent child.
She picked up her pace and soon found herself where the note had said for her to be. She stopped suddenly when she saw the two boys talking to each other. She blew out her bangs as they flew into her eyes. She was not about to let the fact that she was the only girl on the team get to her. She cleared her throat not caring that it was rude. She didn't care at all. Patience was not her virtue as she tapped both feet as she waited for the two to notice her. She knew her Sensei was there and all and she saw she was forty minutes late but she had gotten lost as well so it wasn't really her fault!!!!

Yukito watched as one Genin looked calm, and started to think about how they were going to accomplish this task, while the other merely started stretching and preparing himself. He was honestly curious about what they would be doing. It wasn’t an easy task for sure, but would the boys think he would take it easy on them because of their difference in rankings? This wasn’t the Academy anymore – it was the real world and real confrontation. There was no lesson or point in taking it easy on them, or they would take the same lax attitude outside the Village. Not only was Yukito responsible for their learning and growth, but for their lives as well – a responsibility that he could never forget , or compromise. He watched them carefully, and paid attention to his surroundings. He wasn’t sure what these boys were capable of, so he would not be underestimating them just because they were fresh out the Academy. His first observation was young Minato’s ability to perform the Body Flicker jutsu – a basic technique, but one still difficult to hone at their age. So, already he plans to be just like his ancestry by using that technique as a stepping stone. Another Flash ninja – Yukito smiled slightly and shook his head as he could read this young man perfectly, and what he aims to be. He also noticed his taking of Satoshi as well in the technique. That was impressive all its own.
So now, he was there by himself with the shaking of the tree leaves in the wind and the gentle current of the water being his only company through sounds. Finally, he knew that there were starting to understand the first lesson of being a Leaf Shinobi: teamwork is everything, and ensures victory just as much as singlehanded actions. Already, they were making him proud – even to the point of brief reminiscing back in his starter days. What else could he do as he waited for them to act. At that point, he sat down right in front of the Lake, and started polishing his blade yet again looking through his mask. Even though the boys didn’t know just yet, and even though he didn’t see anything, he knew that their third Genin teammate would be joining them soon enough. Now what was in store of these 4 team members? ..he chuckled slightly to himself through his mask as he polished, and reminisced.

Satoshi explained how the Dragon Flame Technique was his best long range technique that he had. A nod came from Minato as he heard a clearing of the throat. Quickly he grabbed his kunai to see who it was. Thinking Yukito-sensei had already spotted them but it was a beautiful, almost stunning redhead standing there with an angry look on her face. It was their teammate, Uzumaki Kushina. A far relative of his and also a member of the Academy with him for a little while, while she was only there for a while. She had transferred over.
"Here give me that piano wire connected to a kunai. You two think of a back up plan. Get the jutsu ready." Minato said as he got the kunia with the wire as he moved forward with great speed towards his new sensei laxed by the water. Quickly he put the kunia at the bottom of his foot with the wire as he swung his kunai at Yukito. Jumping up into the air as he continued to strike at his sensei with intent to actually hurt him.
Before he had a chance, he kicked the kunia with the wire towards him and with a handseal flashed out of the way as hopefully Satoshi sent the Flame Dragon towards his sensei as Minato got into position to jump from the mask when Yukito moved.

His blade was finally finished; it could even pass off as brand-new and never used to shed blood before. His clan’s pride and joy was special, and he liked to treat it as such. As he raised it up to let the sunlight hit the metal, he could sense what was coming. He sheathed his blade as he of course had no intention to use it there and then with his Genin students. To no surprise, he could see Minato quickly approaching him with a kunai blade in his hand. Yukito merely stood up, and took out his own kunai. A kunai was sent flying which he effortlessly dodged, but it was combined with a blade-for-blade scrimmage between master and student as Minato aimed to hurt. He was spirited, for sure, but his distraction was somewhat obvious. Upon some handseal, Yukito found himself roped in piano wire as he was trapped to a tree trunk with incredibly tight grip. ”I see… impressive.” He told his student as he wondered what would come next.

Satoshi nodded his head and watched as Minato moved to put their plan into action. His heart told him that his blonde haired teammate was infatuated with their female companion. Though anybody could see why as she pretty. Moving into position as he planted his legs onto the ground and held onto his half of the piano wire. "Ready Kushina?" he asked but had no time for him to get an answer as the wire tied Yukito to a tree. Closing his eyes and focusing his chakra he snapped his fingers and the friction caused fire to be sent in the wire path and towards their sensei. Already he was moving into position for an counterattack if one was used. Kushina could take care of herself and he had a feeling that she didn't want to be cuddle just because she is the only girl on the team.

"I'm ready Satoshi-Kun, lets do this." She said as she saw the plan was unfolding. This was going to prove to everyone there that she was capable. She prepared herself to back up her teammate in case something went wrong. She knew she was going to be needed and she began to plan out how this would work since she could only really use her Chakra chains but that would work well. Along with her Chakra chains barrier. She had made her mind.
"Get behind me you two." She said as she prepared herself for the Chakra that it would take. Slowly but surely she began to use the hand signals that were required for the first of the barriers. She soon found that she had enough chakra to unleash it and she released the ninjutsu. She quickly used the hand sign for her second barrier and when she felt enough chakra was powering up did she let it go. Chains appeared around the area that Yukito-Sama was and it wouldn't let him leave even if he did get out of the piano wire. She stepped back impressed with herself and she grinned as she waved at her sensei.
