Masshiro had burst out of the house pulling on his hat, and gauntlet. Today was the day. Today was the day Naruto Uzumaki would be in the village. His idol, his hero here! It was almost too good to be true. “I have to meet him, I just have to! Maybe if I meet him, and impress him he’ll take me on as his student. Yeah that would be AWESOME!” He shouted jumping high into the air. Chi no Akuryou was strapped tightly to his back and Shrudo gleamed proudly on his hand. He had spent the morning polishing them wanting to make a grand impression. Uzumaki Naruto represented everything he wanted to be. Someone people respected. It didn’t matter if he was an orphan or not he could, and would do great things. As he raced he saw a shot of orange in a crowd. “That’s him!” He jumped into the crowd plowing his way to the front, and then bowed. “Uzumaki Naruto I am Hiragana Masshiro and I would like to be your student. Please accept me! I will do whatever it takes to prove myself to you.” He said still bent at the waist awaiting his answer.

Naruto had to admit his first day here had been interesting. He'd gone off to do a little training and run into Mika Azai one of the village's jinchuriki. A little strange maybe but a sweet girl nonetheless. He had to admire her good spirit to want to avoid fighting or killing others. A noble and rare trait in the world of shinobi. People might laugh at her being like that but he wanted to believe she would do some good in the world if she stuck to it remaining determined and optimistic. So the day had ended quickly and today he was walking around the village taking in the sights this time. He had already made note of a noodle shop to hit up later craving some ramen today. He hadn't had too much good ramen in the past few days so he was overdue for that now. He'd smile waving to some children who seemed to stare at him in awe it wasn't everyday you got to see a hero and Jinchuriki of his caliber in the village. He'd look back to see people being pushed aside and then a blonde haired boy appeared before him immediately bowing to him introducing himself before begging for him to become his sensei. "Heh nice to meet cha Masshiro-san." He had never had someone beg to become his student. There had been a time when people would rather kill him then do such a thing oh how the times had changed. "So why do you want to become my student so badly Masshiro-san?" He would ask now curious to hear his answer now. He liked his determination though to prove himself to Naruto for his acceptance.

Masshiro opened his eyes wide. Naruto had actually talked to him. Today was a good day. He came up when Naruto asked him why he wanted to be his student. Masshiro replied immediately. “I want to be your student because I and you are alike. I am an orphan of the fourth great ninja war, but I won’t let that stop me because you didn’t let that stop you and I want to be a great Shinobi like you, but most of all I want to repay the kindness that the Mist has done for me.” Masshiro stood tall hoping that was the answer he was looking for. Naruto was his idol and Masshiro knew that if he became his student he would definitely be able to achieve whatever he set his mind on. Not that his own future depended solely on Naruto, but he was a major factor in it.

Naruto would smile sheepishly seeing the boy so surprised he had spoken to him. Almost like he had expected him to ignore or something. Still he was glad to see the kid so happy he was acknowledged by Naruto as he began to speak now. So the boy was an orphan much like he was though for different reasons. Knowing it was because of the war only saddened him though he didn't show it. He knew he couldn't save everyone many had died before he even got involved in it. He could never take those deaths back but he could do his damnest to honor them by fighting to make the world a more peaceful one like he dreamed of. A place where orphans were happy like he couldn't be at that age. "Quite the dream I must say Masshiro. With hard work and determination you will achieve it someday." He would reply with a cheesy grin on his face now. The world of shinobi needed more people like him. A hero who fought for the good in the world to protect it from the darkness that would destroy it. "Alright I'll take you on Masshiro-san but first lunch. I got a hankering for some ramen. If you care to join me it'll be my treat." Naruto would add with a sheepish smile on his face now. Ramen would always be his favorite food even when he got old someday. The kid would be surprised by just how much of it he could really eat.

Masshiro was glad Naruto thought his dream was achievable. He nodded. “Thanks Naruto if you believe in me I know I’ll achieve my dream.” Masshiro smiled wide from ear to ear when he heard Naruto would take him on as his student. He jumped high into the air. “Yes I did it!” Once he landed on the ground he composed himself. “Thank you for this great opportunity Naruto-Sensei.” At the mention of Ramen his own stomach growled. “Yeah I could go for a bowl most definitely.” Masshiro followed after Naruto. This was great he would be following in Naruto’s footsteps. He knew Naruto was the hero of the fourth great Ninja war, and that his own parents had given their life in that same war. Masshiro wanted to honor their legacy by making something of himself. Showing the world how great he would be. “This’ll be so great!” He gave a fist pump into the air to show how dedicated and excited he was about this new venture in his life.

Naruto always liked to see someone happy about their dream most of the time the exception being Sasuke. It gave one something to strive for in order to better themselves. He'd smile sheepishly running a hand through his hair now. "That's the spirit Masshiro-san." He'd flash his cheesy trademark grin now. "No need to thank me." He'd chuckle lightly at the younger male's display of happiness. Once upon a time that had been him in his shoes. He could remember when begging Jiraiya for training and finally being accepted as his student. He'd been so excited he wanted to shout it to the whole village. "Excellent then." He'd start walking along now knowing Masshiro would follow him. The walk wouldn't be too long since Naruto had already been headed there before being stopped by Masshiro. He smiled sheepishly at his fist pumping action. They'd arrive at the noodle shop now and Naruto would take a seat knowing Masshiro would sit next to him. He'd look to the owner with a smile. "I'll have the special thanks with some Sake for myself." He wasn't an avid drinker it was solemn he ever did but today felt like a celebratory one so he figured what the hell it would be a little bit not enough to get buzzed or drunk.

Masshiro couldn’t have been happier, though having his actual parents here wouldn’t have been a downer, but take your happiness where you can get it. Masshiro shook his head. “You have to know how grateful I am Naruto-sensei. You took me under your tutelage without so much as a single test, and for that I will be eternally grateful.” Masshiro was hungry and knowing Naruto Ramen was always on the menu. Masshiro usually spent his time snacking on sweets, and junk food, but he was no stranger to the ultimate deliciousness that was ramen. Masshiro looked at the menu and then just shook his head. “I’ll take what he’s having, but with a soda instead.” Masshiro didn’t think Naruto was a drinker, but whatever. “So Naruto-sensei what will be my first task as your pupil?” Masshiro couldn’t wait to get things under way. He knew Naruto would have so much to teach him. “I’m wind nature just like you if that helps.” He said smiling wide and cheesy.

Masshiro's parents would probably be thrilled their son had a teacher like him. He had no idea he was an orphan and if he had well it wouldn't have changed his mind any. If anything knowing he was a orphan would push him even more to want to train him to become a great shinobi and hero his village would treasure someday. "Fair enough then Masshiro-san." He'd simply reply a sheepish smile on his face now. He'd always been modest never asking for much thanks. Simply to be acknowledged and accepted had been enough for him. To be thanked by Masshiro felt nice though he would admit. He'd never really had a student before so having a student who actually wanted to learn from him was a new concept to him. "Well a test first really to see what your capable of." Knowing he possessed the wind nature was good to know. It would allow him to teach him the Rasengan if he chose to later on. He would have to teach him the basics before being able to do that. "Good to know Masshiro-san. Perhaps if you prove yourself I may teach you my father's legacy." He'd simply extend his right hand and a Rasengan would roar to life. Then as quickly as it appeared it vanished as he looked back to see their meals had arrived now. Breaking open his chopsticks he eagerly dug into it now. It wasn't Ichiraku but it was close enough.

Masshiro nodded confident he had made his gratitude known to the legendary ninja. Masshiro couldn’t believe he was sitting at a ramen bar with his hero just eating a bowl of ramen, and drinking soda. Was this how he felt when you were face to face with your idol this feeling of normalcy? Masshiro dug into his ramen with gusto. He’d only been here a few times, but the fare was pretty good. He’d have to come by more often. He nodded sucking in a few stray noodles. “I’d expect nothing less from a Shinobi of your caliber. Whatever it is I’ll take it to prove myself to you.” Masshiro stared in wonder at the powerful vortex of Chakra. So this was the legendary Rasengan. It was amazing he was kind of sad to see it disappear so suddenly. “That was the most awesome thing I’ve ever seen. You truly are the greatest Ninja of all time!” He sat back in wonder. “Do you really think I’m good enough to learn something awesome like that?” He said feeling a little self conscious.

Naruto would simply smile before digging into his ramen now. He'd slurp mouthfuls up at a time. It was amazing how fast he could eat the stuff. No one had ever eaten as much as he could in one sitting. Some would say he had a bottomless pit for a stomach seeing him eat ten bowls once. Crazy maybe but he loved the stuff he'd practically grown up on it. He'd place his bowl down after drinking the remaining contents in the bow slamming it down onto the table with a smile. "Heh I wasn't always this great y'know. I could barely make a single clone in the academy." He'd failed his final exams but after stealing a scroll and learning the shadow clone jutsu he'd mastered it in no time allowing him to save Iruka sensei's life. "Heh if you say so Masshiro-san." He wasn't one to brag or rub it in someone else's face. Sure he had defeated Obito and Sasuke Uchiha but that only meant he'd been stronger. He might be the best Jinchuriki of all time but it didn't matter to him it wasn't about fame for him it was leaving a lasting legacy for the world to follow he aimed for. "Sure I taught Konohamaru the Rasengan when I was only twelve and he was like eight so no reason you couldn't learn it." the basics were hard to learn but it was easy to make if you used a shadow clone to help out. He'd smile waving for another bowl of ramen now.

Masshiro was trying his best to keep up with Naruto’s appetite. He finished a few moments after him slamming down on his own bowl. He took a few gulps of his soda. He wasn’t sure he could believe that Naruto the ninja who could make over a thousand clones used to have trouble making a single one. “Wow that’s quite a confession Naruto-sensei.” He nodded accepting Naruto’s confidence in him. “Well I will do my best not to disappoint you Sensei.” Mimicking Naruto he signaled for another bowl as well. If Naruto would eat ten bowls then Masshiro would do his best to eat just as much. “Uhh Sensei is it true that you can make over a thousand clones?” He’d hear stories of Naruto’s skills, but he wanted to hear it from the horse’s mouth. It was said that Naruto’s clone abilities were unsurpassed, which only made it harder to believe that he used to be terrible at it.

Naruto had to admit the boy had quite the appetite too. Not long after finishing his first bowl he looked to the boy seeing him slam his bowl down. Most wouldn't believe he'd never been able to make a single clone. It'd only been when he was pushed to save Iruka that he'd managed to pull of the shadow clone jutsu and not just that but a thousand shadow clones. He'd smile sheepishly as the boy seemed to order another bowl of ramen as well. "Yeah I can but only when I'd not using sage mode or nine tails mode." Sage mode was too risky to use more than two or three if a clone lost focus then it would poof and he would turn to stone instead. Using nine tails mode he could only make about one or two. "I can even let Kurama control one. He's the Bijuu inside me." Most would think he was crazy doing that but he didn't care. He trusted Kurama like he did any of his friends and knew he'd never betray him. He'd look up as their next bowls arrived and smiling he dug into it with eagerness. The kid didn't seem to bothered knowing he was a Jinchuriki so he'd probably think it was cool to talk to Kurama. "Rasengan wont be easy to learn I used to need a clone to do it." After awhile though of training hard he had finally managed to pull it off like Jiraiya without use of a clone.

Masshiro was happy he was able to sit here and learn so much from Naruto without even training yet. He had a curious look on his face when Naruto mentioned Sage and Nine tails mode. “What’s Sage Mode?” He asked. He’d read all he could find on Naruto, and nothing mentioned this Sage mode. “Whatever it is sounds really cool.” He nodded at the Bijuu comment he knew Naruto was a Jinchuriki holder of the Nine tailed Fox. This was the first he’d heard that the fox had a name. “His name is Kurama? I didn’t know they had names. I am learning so much, and we haven’t even started yet.” Masshiro nodded. “I’m not looking for easy; anyone who takes the easy way out has given up on life.” He dug into his bowl as well slurping up mounds of noodles. “This stuff is really good, but I usually eat mostly junk food, but I might reconsider when there’s this stuff around.” He said burping happily.

"It's where you gather the nature chakra around you to enhance your body and techniques. There are different types but I became a Toad Sage." It wasn't easy training it took time to learn how to draw the chakra in in the right amount. Too much and you would transform into the animal you were training under becoming stone when it was finished. Luckily he had had help with his training and managed to become a perfect toad sage surpassing his former mentor Jiraiya. "They all have names. I learned them during the fourth great shinobi war. Kurama told me his when he finally came to trust and respect me completely." Naruto would smile and now at Masshiro. He had to admire the boy's determination. Just because something might be hard had never stopped him before. No he'd train long and hard until he got it done. Using shadow clones had helped him pick up new techniques a lot quicker than before when he hadn't used them. "I practically grew up on the stuff. Those were rough days back then but I always had the delight of ramen to look forward to to get me through some of them." Naruto would reply a sheepish smile on his face now. The food held a little sentimental value to him and that was why he would always eat it.

Masshiro listened to the description of Sage mode. “Wow sounds really complicated.” It made him a little dizzy just thinking about. Then there was the toad thing, he’d seen the amphibians around Kirigakure they didn’t seem like a very impressive summoning, but then again judging by looks alone he didn’t seem like an impressive ninja, but looks could be deceiving. It was interesting to find out that all the tailed beast had names he knew the mist was home to at least two of them. “I’ll have to talk to those two and find out what they know.” He muttered to himself slurping up more noodles. Masshiro could relate being an orphan people looked at him differently not with anger, but pity. It made him angry he didn’t need their pity help. He would become a great Shinobi on his own merits. He listened to Naruto’s story about the food saving him. Masshiro love for sweets didn’t run that deep, but he did have a major sweet tooth in fact he had at least two suckers and candy bar on his person at any given time.
